Odd sight in Newcastle city centre this morning. Loads of blokes in suits wearing ear pieces & the fake arms (concealed weapons?) flanking a baldy short arse bloke wearing a tweed suit about. They’re currently in the Grainger market. Anyone know what’s ganning on there.

We were clearing out my grandma’s house yesterday. The kind of exhausting where your chest feels heavier than your arms. That kind of tired. Then we opened an old trunk tucked away in the corner… and everything stopped. Inside were eleven—eleven—handmade blankets. Folded neatly. Stacked with care. Like they were waiting. None of us even knew she was still making them. My sister sat down on the floor and just cried. I almost did too. All I could think was: Was she saving these for someone? For a moment that never came? For people she loved but never got to give them to? Now we’re here, trying to decide what happens next. Part of me wants to keep every single one, just to feel close to her a little longer. The strange part? Just last month I saw blankets just like these in a vintage shop online. I remember saving them and thinking, “They don’t make things like this anymore.” Turns out… she was still making them. Quietly. Patiently. All this time. Maybe I’ll reach out to a collector. Or someone who truly understands what these are. Not just blankets—but hours, memories, love stitched into something you can hold. I want them to live on, to be seen, to be cherished. I don’t know. Sunrise at Heaton this morning. Day 5/6. Shock to the system being back on early shifts after a month of annual leave 😂😳

And this is why staff on a station shout at you to ‘stand behind the yellow line’ ‘walk behind the yellow line’ ‘move behind the yellow line’ - to try to stop our driver colleagues having to deal with this! But no - it’s an overtaking lane!

I did some book sorting... This is the current state of play next to my bed 🛌 I also have 13 bookcases around the house, a book trolley, a three-tiered basket, and two boxes full of books...... But I did find new homes for 18 others, so I've clearly got room for some more 🙃

So my kind sister bought me a gift card to use @CostaCoffee as our Mum is in hospital long term in Leeds. I approached the counter with my items only to be told I can’t use it! Atrocious in such an environment. M&S gift cards can be used in the hospital.

@CostaCoffee I’m not sure, it was a gift that arrived as an email with a QR code on it.
