This Memorial Day, we remember and honor those who’ve served and given the ultimate sacrifice. As we watch conflicts rage across the globe today, the weight of this day hits even harder. We owe our fallen heroes a debt we can never repay. Honor them today by defending the freedom and democracy they fought for. #MemorialDay

I’m not into black listing anyone from future work in their area of expertise but I do think it’s fair to want a whole new crop of foreign policy staffers in the next democratic administration. It’s not like the same 120 people are the only people who know anything.

The campaign may be over, but it revealed what’s left to do. Traveling across Florida, I met so many young people who are brilliant, thoughtful, creative, and hungry for something better than the division we’ve all gotten used to, which is why I decided to go back to education. Like many of you, I am exhausted by the partisan take on every single issue. It is time to look at the people behind the data if we want to build a unified future. And Florida should be the first place to start. 🧵🇺🇸

5/6 Florida is an economic powerhouse. We are a tech hub, an investment safe harbor with no state tax, and we will gain 4 more congressional seats by 2030. But also Florida’s education ranks at the bottom, middle-class families are fleeing, and extreme immigration laws are targeting the very workforce businesses here rely on. Florida desperately needs serious investments to change the 20+ years of a system of one party control that has done so much damage to our state. It’s past time DC and national pundits stop dismissing Florida and its voters and do the hard work necessary to bring that change.

I’ve seen enough. As the first Latina ever nominated for a US Senate seat in Florida, the national party’s "autopsy" report doesn’t even begin to grasp why Democrats are losing Latino communities, or how to actually reach them. A thread from my own experience on what’s really happening: 🧵1/6

This isn't American democracy—this is straight out of the Cuba & Venezuela playbook. GAESA-style corruption has officially arrived in the US. This is a clear weaponization of state resources to protect a ruling elite.

In the span of 48 hours, the U.S. government, acting on orders from the Trump Justice Department, did something no administration in American history has ever done before. The agency created a nearly $1.8 billion fund, drawn from taxpayer money, designed to compensate allies of the president who claim they were mistreated by the Biden Justice Department. Then, the administration permanently banned the IRS from ever examining President Donald Trump's prior tax returns or those of his sons, his company, or any affiliated trust. That move was quietly announced a day later. Former IRS Commissioner John Koskinen reacts to these developments. Watch @GeoffRBennett's interview with him.

The Republican party as we knew it is officially dead. It’s a MAGA party now. The media needs to stop using the old label and quit pretending otherwise.

I generally trust the NYT/Siena poll and this will make the difference in many races across the country specially here in Florida. Latinos in Miami are exhausted with high prices, attacks against their families by extreme immigration policies and poor economic outlook. I speak to them, I hear what they’re saying and in a fair election cycle without voter suppression Dems win in Florida. Tempting…

While in Congress, I worked with Senator Cassidy, a doctor and a leader deeply committed to Louisiana. In these highly divisive times, he put his state before party politics, which ultimately cost him his primary. You may not agree with all his choices, but we desperately need leaders who lead with courage, integrity, and a willingness to cross party lines for the good of the country. This is a massive loss for the Republic. The party needs to look in the mirror and ask who they truly are today.

New: Miami residents are suing Trump over his planned library, alleging he's getting an illegal benefit. The land for library was owned by a state-operated college and valued at tens of millions of dollars. DeSantis and allies handed it over for $10. washingtonpost.com/politics/2026/…

DeSantis dropping gerrymandered maps in late April isn't bad timing, it’s the strategy. Run out the time for court challenges and tilt the scales before the first vote is even cast. It’s a textbook lesson on how to maintain partisan control in an election. 🐊📉@MyNews13

Donald Trump: “No Republican has ever spoken to me about Cuba.” The President understands that, for decades, freedom in Cuba and supporting the people has been a bipartisan issue. Democratic President’s Obama and Biden led the way in trying to liberate the island through diplomatic efforts. We support this @POTUS
