@thedrmikejones 5 of us were stuck once in an elevator in the old GAB for an hour. We finally got ourselves out with brute force and a lucky push on a wheel! It’s no fun!

The last thing I need on a busy Monday morning in the General Assembly is to get stuck on an elevator. 😠

@nedoliver @DaveRess1 I always said that the only appropriate title for me was “Mr.” Chip Woodrum would say “a simple ‘my lord’ will suffice.”

@nedoliver @DaveRess1 Yes and they also had the protocol guide amended to change “member,” to “Delegate.” This happened post-2002. Bruce Jamerson sadly is gone, but former Speakers Wilkins and Howell might have some recollection of and apologia for this “Senatization” of the House.

@Deboer1234 I was privileged to serve the Va Crime Commission during this golden age of legislators. The lessons learned in the committee rooms and over lunches have served me well. And more importantly helped me serve my community better. The banter between you and Chip was amazing!

@TrayAdamsRVA @Deboer1234 I was blessed with a terrific bunch of brothers and mentors. Add Jerrauld Jones, Jean Cunningham, Kenny Melvin, , Roscoe Reynolds, later Barney Day, and plenty of others. It was the Golden Age.

@Deboer1234 There has never been a group greater group of legislators than DeBoer, Woodrum, Cranwell, Jackson, Clement, and Croshaw. Would that we could replicate them now, the Commonwealth would be a better place. Thank the Lord I’ve still got Creigh.
