Serious point: people should get to a basic standard of fitness so they can evade knife wielding lunatics, terrorist attacks and aggressors. Not to fight, but to run.
They should also learn basic situational awareness on stuff like public transport.
Clock your fellow passengers, don’t sit with your back to strangers, especially weirdos, think of exit routes, establish the vibe, stay away from anything or anyone untoward, don’t bury your head in a phone, be alert.
It becomes second nature when you get into it. And it might just save you a load of grief - or indeed your life.
This is not scaremongering. It’s 21st century West.

The poor fawn was abandoned by its mother and family and had taken shelter against a wall in the rain. How wonderful it would be to reunite this fawn with its mother. Deer are very gentle and affectionate creatures.
