I never had an issue with Frieza getting so much stronger after training for the first time in his life. That makes sense to an extent. The issue is just how huge a leap he made in such a short time. He went from below namek SS Goku to beyond SSB Goku in 6 months. That essentially equates to him easily beating namek Goku if he had just trained for a few days
