@BlooHook I was using it on my 4090 but hated seeing that 390-420watt usage. Turned it off to drop back down to 280watt.

@B1gDaddyMarv @ThatLocoGringo I’m gonna be honest. W3 didnt have the best story or even worth mentioning in most conversations involving story games. Its atmosphere and side quests were cool. But W2 story clears it by a lot for me. RDR1 and 2 both had great stories.

@ThatLocoGringo It has a story. Just don't expect something like Red Dead 2 or Witcher 3.

Crimson Desert is not a narrative driven rpg. Its an action game all about epic moments/boss battle and combat is incredible, but it has a steep learning curve. Early review from someone whos played 50 hours. Openworldgames on youtube posted a video on it.

I don't see the hype for Crimson Desert at all man, I really don't understand what this is. It feels like to me a MMO game that was scrapped so they have assets and just keep them and made it a single player game instead with all MMO stuff in it

@nuhre_ Knights of the Seven kingdoms proves ya just need a protagonist that wants to keep it simple and true. No crazy plot twists or “shockers”. We’ve gone so far off the plot for game narratives that this game doesn’t have a high bar to beat. Skyrim’s story wasn’t even that deep.

Why is no one talking about the narrative side of Crimson Desert? What about the story? The cinematics look solid, sure, but if the plot is held together with thumbtacks and vibes, that’s not going to matter. I just have a gut feeling that no matter how much gameplay content it throws at me, this might not be my cup of tea. I hope proper gameplay videos start dropping soon so I can figure out whether there’s an actual story there or just very expensive cutscenes.

@klyze @wccftech I was being 100% sarcastic on my post. Seeing bots and obvious paid/fake accounts push this narrative that it’s user error because they have sold an infinite amount of CPU’s with no issues. What’s worse is popular tech channels dismiss it the same but went all in on intel/nvidia

@FatSackStudios @wccftech I agree completely. It’s maybe 10% of user error but the rest is shit designs from multiple angles. Same can be seen in home appliances. First it was “user error or bad luck” with Samsung fridges and washers only to inevitably be they just are trash products.

TBH I don't feel it is all user error, I had a Corsair first gen HX1000i with the shit design, it is absolutely the PSU fault for allowing pins to move, be pushed backwards and cause shorts or overvolt, the first cards that fried were tied to corsair, I did some digging, and threw the PSU in the garbage, @GlobalLianli makes Edge series PSUs, I only use them now in all my rigs, reinforced plugs, no fuckery. Thank god none of my 90 series cards ate a shit before replacement of the power supplies.

@klyze @wccftech Obviously it’s user error. That’s the only explanation, only. Because a gajillion Morbius units were sold. This recent uptick and reports definitely isn’t a yellow canary situation.

@wccftech My 9800X3d failed as well last week. MB:TUF B850m plus RAM:kingston 6000 cl30 32Gb it failed 3 weeks after i updated to dec bios.
