TL;DR - Software engineering jobs are toast. It's going to be sth like hybrid swe with product, or design, or mktg going forward with software as a basic form of computer literacy. Why? What's the argument for not being extremely pedantic about code simplicity and safety if it can be automated? It's automatable now with LLMs, and that automation is more effective when these methods are applied. The technique also lends itself to using lower powered models.
