In @Polkadot's new JAM protocol, one very simple design improvement will reduce bottlenecks. Decoupling Block Production with State Change commitments. Traditionally, the block producer has to compute the current state root before publishing a block...

Much love and respect to our brother Musa Ali from Manchester. In his early 20s, he has set up a community security firm to help protect young women and girls of all faiths and none from racist and sexual abuse.

@godyondu @luce_lipped Don’t forget this was during the times of retroactive funding in OpenGov, which was even more precarious work than this situation.

@luce_lipped Yes I'm not blaming you or judging you anymore. This made me curious too but you could have managed it differently. Why would you work for free if you don't have money. If i want to use some service from vendors they send me invoice and then i accept it and ask for service.

40 hours left. The case has already crossed the core threshold needed to proceed. What I would love now is to finish with a few more backers behind it. We are on 48. Even a £5 pledge helps because numbers matter too. crowdjustice.com/case/unpaid-by…

This has been going on for 80 years, and heavily documented. The NYTimes finally scraped together enough integrity to publish something.

This is a hard article to read, but I hope you'll do so. I've spent some time reporting on widespread rape and other sexual violence of Palestinian male and female prisoners by Israeli authorities, and the article is now published. The assault victims were warned not to give speak of what they endured -- they were sometimes told they would be killed or raped if they gave interviews -- but they found the courage to do so. One man described being raped three times in a single day in Israeli prison, the third time after he tried to protest. A young woman said the guards would come in at the beginning of each shift and strip her naked and abuse her. Another reported that she was shown photos of herself being raped and warned they would be released unless she cooperated with Israeli intelligence. Even three children who had been detained told me they had been sexually abused. Look, whatever our position on the Middle East, we should be able to agree on being anti-rape. Sexual assaults were horrific when Israeli women were targeted on Oct. 7, and they're equally horrific when Israeli authorities use them against Palestinians day after day after day. We should be able to find common ground in opposing rape. Here's a gift link to the article: nytimes.com/2026/05/11/opi…

Israeli soldiers posted photos of themselves picking food from gardens and cooking in the homes of Lebanese residents who fled Israel’s bombing. The same scenes played out decades earlier during the Nakba when Israel forced 750,000 Palestinians from their homes.

Even the cats of Gaza have their share of resilience and mercy. A heart-melting scene of a mother and her five kittens, finding safety and a morsel of bread among the ruins. In a city weary from pain, these small souls still find those who treat them with kindness.

Most bridges rely on multisig committees. That’s also why bridges have lost billions. @hyperbridge takes a different path: - No trusted signers - No committees - Security from consensus + state proofs Interoperability is secured at the protocol level. Built for a multi-chain future on @Polkadot.
