@TyStevenW @jacobogles @CityofSarasota Why is the petition process necessary? Repeatedly, a majority of the SRQ City Comm. has refused to allow voters to decide the date of elections in a referendum. This leaves the petition process as the only method of allowing the voters to decide the date. decidethedate.com

If @DecideTheDate passes, @CityofSarasota commissioners will serve 18 additional months and next city election waits until 2020.
