@CouchReferee Additionally... we need provincial coaches to continue to give young players a chance. Farrell is a great selector but the provincial coaches have a part to play and to be fair they have been better. We don't need selectors like Matt O'Connor or Johann Van G.

Since Ireland lost on Saturday I have seen some alarming takes on here, from Ireland need to rebuild, to they will never have the talent to make a semi final. So lets have a look at some of the players from each province that could make a big splash this cycle

World Rugby must be kicking themselves for making the draw so long ago. Two QFs worthy of a final. Two great teams are out. The two best sets of fans are no longer attending. Semi finals will be warm equivalents for SA and NZ.

Hugely dissapointed for the Ireland squad of 33 players + more. A game of fine margins that didn't fall our way this evening. The team is better than a quarter final, but that is sport. I am immensely proud of how they represented our island of Ireland. Heads up. Answer to no 1.

This is something Ireland are really good at - and, no, it’s not a moan at reffing. All teams do it, Ireland just do it very well. Beirne on a decoy run, runs into Turner. It’s slight but knocks Turned off his stride. Defence disconnected, Ringrose through to set up the first.
