@tomato_derg @PAAWSTAR Hey if you're buying food instead of your 4th AR and more ammo you are already ahead of the pack...
English

@DeclanWesting @PAAWSTAR The real broke option is dried beans or canned veggies in bulk at walmart, but probably a good plan anyways to save money for other things.
English

@tomato_derg @PAAWSTAR Their sweet pork and rice is 🔥
The real broke option is humanitarian rations though, recently on sale for like $1.50 per 2,000 calories. Hope you like lentils though... 😂
English

@DeclanWesting @PAAWSTAR Peak is by far the easiest option and like a billion calories, I often can't even finish a pack in a sitting, leaving me a snack for later.
English

@darkwolf9375 @spiritussystems Now I can't unsee "spiritussy"
English

@DoomerTapes Okay fair, but that usually comes from food products that cost energy to make...
English

@DeclanWesting It doesnt have to come from corn. Its just alcohol that we drink. Put it in cars instead of your body
English

Now im not some green activist, but if the oil prices concern you, what should really concern you is the fact that we almost had widespread adoption of ethanol and it was completely bodied by the oil industry propaganda.
It is essentially premium racing fuel, burns clean, and is far cheaper than gasoline. It is less efficient, but if the technology caught up to that, small engine turbo cars could have been designed around ethanol to figure that out.
I personally run flex fuel in my car and it makes way more power with mild loss in economy. There are definitely downsides such as water absorption, but again, this could be worked out with enough eyes on the problem.
We were robbed of cheap, clean, powerful fuel, and now i get to laugh and use ethanol at the same low price while people cry at the pump.
RETVRN to corn

@IanECox Well for one I guarantee the mil version isn't using a damn pistol brace instead of a proper stock...

The downed F-15 pilots will be depending on this weapon to keep the hordes at bay while they wait for the CSAR teams to find them.
The GAU-5A Aircrew Self Defense Weapon (ASDW) is a compact, takedown 5.56mm rifle designed for US Air Force pilots to use for survival and defense if shot down. Developed by the USAF Gunsmith Shop, it fits into ACES II ejection seats, allowing for 30-second assembly without tools to engage targets up to 200 meters.

English

@lordvictor I have a suspicion you would use more energy making the generators and hooking them up than you would recoup before some idiot broke them.
English

It could work; right now the energy spent on gym machines is essentially wasted. It gets turned into heat then sucked up by the HVAC at cost of additional energy. Of course you don't *gain* anything this way, because of thermodynamics, but you could waste less.
Mojobo@MojoboJomo
why wouldn't this work? like, all that wasted energy going nowhere, why not use it? But I probably don't know anything about this
English

@CultusPater @Mrgunsngear @MidwestIndinc @Magpul Scrounging ammo is overrated for the exact reason you pointed out - If you come across ammo you are probably coming across a weapon that uses it at the same time.
English

@Mrgunsngear @MidwestIndinc @Magpul You'd think they would stow region specific instead of mission specific weapons. Like an AK variant so the survivor has a chance to scrounge the ammo most abundant in region, but I suppose you can always to a rifle off the enemy too.
English

This is what the downed pilot / WSO is likely armed with on the ground in Iran; the GAU-5A.
It's a mission specific takedown AR15 variant with a 12.5'' 5.56 barrel, MLOK rail with QD lever, MBUS Pro sights, folding grip, and 4x 30 round magazines that are stored under the ejection seat.
It's certainly a much better option than the USAF's old "survival" rifle...

@Jo0nat4n @AntiDemoticCat I think it's abundantly clear that Robinson was motivated by leftist ideology and saw himself as "anti-fascist."
You may not care about identity politics, but he certainly seemed to.
English

@DeclanWesting @AntiDemoticCat well that's just what liberals tend to say, but as I tried to convey in my original message, identity politics don't matter to me
English

When they say they “care about other people” they mean sniping anyone not left wing btw.
grim 🦇 🔜 FWA@grimyote
“don’t allow politics in furry!!!” Sorry I actually care about other people so
English

@Jo0nat4n @AntiDemoticCat He wrote "Hey fascist, catch!" on one of the cartridges.
English

@AntiDemoticCat the guy who shot Charlie Kirk wasn't affiliated with either side of your identity politics liberal clusterfuck of a political system
trump is a liberal, kamala is a liberal, they're all liberals with different opinions on identity politics and neoliberalism is a plague
English

@ArmedJ0y Liability lawyers are why we can't have nice things.
English

There's this fundamental and core issue in America right now where we just refuse to hold individuals accountable for their idiotic actions, and instead have to make it everyone who was around's problem.
Robb 🇺🇸 🏴☠️ 🛩️🐊@YF23Stan
@ArmedJ0y We almost lost our local range because some retard shot a Cessna flying overhead. Luckily, a redesign of the visitors range to make it sit down only fixed that. Total Fudd range, but if you abide by the rules, you can shoot damn near all day and the RSO's aren't too bad.

There are things we just don’t do this with because they’re critical to infrastructure, and that’s the end of it.
A guy can be on his phone, drift off a 25 mph street, and crash into your living room. It happens more often than people think. We don’t shut down the roads.
But a kid jumps off a rock and breaks his ankle? Suddenly, the whole park gets shut down, and no one can climb anymore. Shit like this is everywhere.
English

@AutumnDerg Private industry does it too.
Feels like a need a whole spreadsheet to track all the TLA'S (Three Letter Acronyms) I need to remember
English

@KimK91fw My favorite Japanese product I own are a set of Mitutoyo calipers and a micrometer.
Precise, reliable, and well-crafted, and used in American manufacturing - I think it's a good metaphor!
English

@BigBangBen14 @wonpilesqued Sorry, I meant the Armstrong line...
English

The book describes the rocky shell as a non-living carapace, like human nails or hair, or maybe like the shell of some marine creatures. Inside they have different circulatory systems, and water-based cells. They are hotter than the boiling point of water at earth pressure, but still liquid due to a much (~26x) more dense atmosphere.
So when Rocky was outside his enclosure in the Hail Mary, it was like a human being unprotected above the Karman line... 😬
