Big thanks to @_Checkmatey_ for taking DCRDEX for a spin. Rather than talk about plans to improve usability, I'll just show what we have actually done, which we plan to ship with the upcoming Decred 1.7. To start, unimpressive but important is less password nagging... (thread)

Just performed my first Atomic Swap trade between $BTC and $DCR via #DCRDEX.
Took a bit of work to get the DEX operational, but when it comes to self-sovereignty, the only thing I had to trust was my node software.
Also first time I used Bitcoin Core...fark, needs a UI update..

Perhaps our friends @DecredDEX will be able to solve the market liquidity problem soon with atomic swaps in simple payment verification mode in Decrediton.

@overthrowy They never achieved sufficient market liquidity, which is a priority for a monetary asset. Technically very good, but that's only half of the equation.
