@kahsirkin @MachDominus No way. Can you link me that statement or point me in the right direction to find it?
English

@DeeDos1418 @MachDominus Straight up GW won't let them. Unless I am mistaken, they did talk about this, and said it's the reason why we're never getting chaos skins for operations.
English

It annoys me to no end how we still can't make use of older armor sets. Like, the Iron Warrior has the "cleanest" Mark 3 parts.
They're RIGHT there, surely nobody would mind if we used them in PvE. And we have a myriad of new warband decals, so let us use the Chaos parts!

Phaeron Apollotkh@Huntsmarshal
@MachDominus Iron Warriors are so wack you gotta steal drip from others. lol
English

@factpostnews Only one?
He should build 20.
How fast did those shrimp run by the way?
English

@benarr4 @Dontfeedthecrz @totallynotretro Does the CPU power of my 3DS matter now that Nintendo doesn't want to bother with it? In 10 years the Switch 2 will be a paperweight. In 10 years the Deck will be a PC.
English

@DeeDos1418 @Dontfeedthecrz @totallynotretro You just dont want to accept that nintendo sells a more powerful handheld for nearly half the price than your favorite company. You certainly also wouldnt say that we dont know if the ps5 is more powerful than the switch 2 because closed system and so no?
English

Who's defending Valve?
Stating a Steam Deck isn't required for PC gaming isn't defending anything 😂
𝙕𝙀𝘼𝙇 🦇@EL_Seal_
English

@benarr4 @Dontfeedthecrz @totallynotretro I don't accept that. I want to run the same benchmark software on it as a tablet, desktop, or server. I won't buy something that tries to stop me from tampering with *my* property.
English

@DeeDos1418 @Dontfeedthecrz @totallynotretro Console benchmarks are real benchmarks: frame rate, frame times, resolution, loading, docked/handheld clocks, power/thermal behavior, game version, firmware version, etc. The OS being locked just means you’re benchmarking the actual retail product, not a fully user-controlled PC
English

@benarr4 @Dontfeedthecrz @totallynotretro I didn't move from "you cant benchmark it", you can't benchmark it. On top of the fact that I'm not in control of the hardware, so updates to the OS are out of my hands.
English

@DeeDos1418 @Dontfeedthecrz @totallynotretro Youre moving from “you cant benchmark it” to “system performance depends on OS/drivers,” which nobody denied. But people got actual Switch 2 hardware and analyzed the T239. A locked retail OS doesnt make the hardware performance fake or unknowable
English

@Proxidist Honestly it's still the only other machine that exists to me. I own it. I get to control the OS. I'm not locked out of playing whatever I want on it. Switch, PS, XB. All paper weights waiting to turn off with no games I want on them.
But I already have a rig. So lol
English

I still really like the Steam Deck btw and would rather play it over a Ps5 or Switch 2 but it just isn't worth $950 whatsoever holy shit
Proxidist@Proxidist
This video aged horribly :(
English

@benarr4 @Dontfeedthecrz @totallynotretro Wait do you think the performance of 1 part isn't effected by the others or the OS? If I can't control those, the performance of the Switch's processor isn't only the performance of the processor.
English

@DeeDos1418 @Dontfeedthecrz @totallynotretro you can do benchmarks on switch. You can literally buy the same GPU the switch 2 uses and run benchmarks. I mean even if u cant the specs are public u can just look at how many TFLOPS and whatever it has
English

@Blizzox2 @CptMuchoTexto Yes you can put a value on that. It costs >8 times more to build, and the insurance cost will be 3 or 4 times higher. If this is the minimum standard, you instantly make 80% of the US homeless.
English

@DeeDos1418 @CptMuchoTexto Sure but all your stuff and all the people inside are mostly safe. And your house does not turn into ammunition to perforate other houses, and while houses still get destroyed, it takes a far bigger tornado to do it, I guess you cant put a value on that.
Unless you are American.
English

Do Europeans just not understand that air is matter? It has weight, it exerts force on objects around it.
And let me tell you, there's a lot more force behind winds that can chuck a car a mile away and wrap it around a tree than there is behind a boulder rolling down a hill.
Concerned Human@Concerned1Human
@HMBohemond You say what?
English

@Blizzox2 @CptMuchoTexto Anyway. Water damage guts the house. Insurance writes the house off. Take your ERM ACQTUWELLY ass to people that don't live it

English

@DeeDos1418 @CptMuchoTexto Thats a wood framed home with veneer bricks (look at the holes inside them, also no structural brick walls, IE the veneer bricks are not weight carrying). Brick homes do not get flattened like that. They often lose the roof but downstairs is relatively intact.

English

@radialexplosion @ndominick80 @GameChap Yes I do play Indie games with more gameplay for a fraction of the cost. With mod support. With self hostable multiplayer. So not only can I do it myself easily, the servers being turned off doesn't effect me. I can't be forced to rebuy the game.
English

@DeeDos1418 @ndominick80 @GameChap They definitely do not have more gameplay unless you're playing animal crossing style games like stardew valley. Also you can still mod your switch, of course there won't be mod support because they don't want you to officially put CJ in zelda but you can still do it
English

Valve is a sensible, down-to-earth company, so I do trust and believe that this rather dramatic price rise is necessary given the current industry conditions.
But I have a question.
How on Earth is Nintendo paying the bills with just a $50 increase on the Switch 2?
Wario64@Wario64
Valve has raised Steam Deck prices in the US • 1TB OLED $649 -> $949 • 512GB OLED $549 -> $789 still out of stock store.steampowered.com/steamdeck
English

@Blizzox2 @CptMuchoTexto Yes actually. Shelters are tested against car impacts specifically. And the way that tornados work, it's not going to be straight down either. So it's the safest thing possible.
Brick homes get flattened. Obviously

English

@DeeDos1418 @CptMuchoTexto Yea, and would you refuse to seek shelter here because you know if a car gets blown away and drops straight down on that door the shelter might not survive?
Obviously you would not. And obviously you would prefer to seek shelter in a solid brick house then a wood framed one.
English

@benarr4 @Dontfeedthecrz @totallynotretro You can't run benchmarks on the Switch so whatever performance numbers N brags about are practically made up. I can do whatever I want with a deck. I'm only allowed to do the precious few things N feels like letting me do. No thanks.
English

@DeeDos1418 @Dontfeedthecrz @totallynotretro Switch 2 increased by 50dollar. The Steam Deck by 300. the switch 2 is the more powerful console while now being nearly half the price
English

@Blizzox2 @CptMuchoTexto That's a thing. Tornado shelters cost ~5-10K as long as you're not in Florida. So why pay 800K and expensive insurance on a home that will get destroyed instead of 80K on a home a shelter and cheaper insurance

English

@CptMuchoTexto This is such a dumb argument that completely pisses in the wind with regards to risk management. You could create a steel walled house and yes, there would still be a chance that it gets destroyed beyond repair in a tornado... But you absolutely would be safer in it then a wooden
English

@NotABee8 @CptMuchoTexto When the metric is who survives a semi-truck better, it's no wonder that paying for body armor isn't worth it. No matter what you build, it's getting flattened.

English

@CptMuchoTexto I think the part where the wall of some american house are thin enough that you can punch a hole in it with your bare hand also has something to do with it
English

Stuff like this is cringe, but I hope it happens just cause I know it would make a lot of people I don’t like extremely angry.

BREAKING: The Trump Administration and the US Treasury Department are designing a $250 bill featuring President Trump, per the Washington Post. If this is launched, President Trump would be the first living person to appear on a US currency since 1866.
English

@DeeDos1418 @GameChap Do you actually think the average switch user buys any of these, besides the handheld and the games? That these extremely niche accessories with 3rd-party options out of this "game price" list are what keep the Switch price low?

English

@ndominick80 @GameChap Indie games have been nearly all I play for about 10 years now. They have more gameplay, mod support, and are usually a 1/3rd the price. The "industry" sucks
English

@DeeDos1418 @GameChap Their games prices are no different than the rest of the industry.
English

@AkhavS @FroegVol4 You're not going to find a modern star fort, because they're a death trap against modern arty
English

@DeeDos1418 @FroegVol4 That's not a problem, those fortresses are designed to be awfully difficult to destroy through artillery fire and make every artillery position around them unsafe.
English

Why did we stop building proper forts, considering modern warfare is largely urban surely they must have some utility
