It annoys me to no end how we still can't make use of older armor sets. Like, the Iron Warrior has the "cleanest" Mark 3 parts. They're RIGHT there, surely nobody would mind if we used them in PvE. And we have a myriad of new warband decals, so let us use the Chaos parts!

@DeeDos1418 @MachDominus Straight up GW won't let them. Unless I am mistaken, they did talk about this, and said it's the reason why we're never getting chaos skins for operations.

@MachDominus Yee that's the part that blows about SM2 Why are the devs so glacial about enabling assets that are already in the game?

@DoomerCoomer I think the issues is that people desperately want a clear cut good option with no real consequences. Even though you spend the first third of the game playing as one of these 'fake, soulless' people just to drive the tragedy of the situation home.

literally nothing in the text of Clair Obscur supports that the paintings aren't sentient beings with souls, none of the characters dispute it, yet for some reason it's a conclusion that so many people come to because they're incapable of engaging with a fantasy world's rules

@TGrudges I hope we get their AoS version, the hypothetical ulgurothi. Since they are mentioned and everything, Tyrion fighting them. On the chance we do, I doubt they're gonna be the same army as DoK tho.

@QuiteShallow I simply trust Owlcat to deliver a good game. I also trust Owlcat to take at least four months after launch to completely fix the apocalyptic bugs the game will be released with.

@TGrudges I personally like them. The sisters of slaughter and witch elves are still around as their usual, not to mention the medusae and the flying ones. It adds more variety, and I have been expecting something more armored, since they are a whole ass society now, not just a side-cult.

Idk man like I love the weapons but they have too much armour? I get AOS is different to Fantasy / Old World but it just feels odd? The terrain piece is awesome though

@kahsirkin @MrYGuy2 Again, the first game had potential, if it wasn't so skewered by terrible writing the second game on the other hand, there was no saving that mess

@Combinecommando @MrYGuy2 I mean, to be entirely honest, I'd be cool with the activism if the story and characters were good to bear the weight. It's nothing I haven't seen before. Just... not like this. (Speaking purely about the first game.)

@kahsirkin @MrYGuy2 That's the worst part. You can easily see the potential hidden underneath all the slop writing and visuals (namely the characters looks) but it's ruined by people who are brain rotten and way too deep into activism

@BayesianPenguin @Atem_Aero @ShitpostRock What are you talking about man? The first third of the game is literally from the perspective of one of them. Are you doing a bit, or are you just that desperate to accept the simplest answer that takes the 'hard' out of the hard decision part?

@LavenderGhast I like their subtler totalitarian oppressive regime, and I like the blue man's burden thing they got going on. Too bad a lot of fans I try to interact with are either desperate for them to be the good guys, sad communists, or both.

@LavenderGhast I do like the T'au, however. I view them as an earlier humanity equivalent. They can't go around and exterminate other species like the imperium, because they can't *afford* to. I see their actions as based on necessity and pragmatism, certainly not morals.

The Tau leadership basically soul-killered one of their best generals so his abilities can be replanted into other commanders brains and when it became a detriment after they ran into imperial psykers, they mandatorily pulled it out of their brains which ended up lobotomizing most of them and then covered it up. Like they're straight up if Arasaka had a space empire.
Cal1bern@GyzmoFyre88

Don’t tell the Tau “fans” about the: - The Massacre of the Dul'un Lakes - The Eight Days of Infamy - Kroot Uprising on Ky’san Actually… don’t tell them anything about the fourth sphere expansion under Commander Surestrike.

@jiriz0r @SwanForge People do genuinely forget (or don't know much about the Arbites) that an Arbiter could watch a random civilian get ventilated in front of him, and depending on the arbiter in question, there's solid chances of him not giving a shit. They deal with Imperial Law, big time stuff.

@SwanForge I actually doubt hive gangers engage in Imperial level crime so their activities are below the Arbites attention. Unless you mess with the Tithe or with Imperial agencies the Arbites just don’t care.

"Arbites wouldn't fight alongside Hive Scum." The enemy is turncoat military and a "Shit Yourself to Death" Cult. I think a line was crossed some time ago. We're already at a point where the Inquisition is scraping prison ships able warriors, it's not so shocking.

@Walzmentum @QuetzalPhoenix I've had a similar experience with a close friend who has gotten increasingly more leftist over time. I've tried to just ignore it, I suppose, when he basically calls me an iredeemable piece of shit by association, but it is ROUGH. Especially when I try to not bring politics up.

My progressive friends basically will not permit our friendships to continue. They will not let 30 seconds go by without saying something provocative and confrontational. They flatly refuse to avoid politics in conversation. I've tried to keep these relationships going, but at some point, there's just no sound basis for friendship. Obviously, I stay in touch with family, but they make it very hard as well.

@FAKanojo @kenshirotism Not to mention the vampires in that book actually went extinct the moment humans got better at building shelter. Hard to hunt when you get a seizure every time you look at a building. Shame. It's a dope book that didn't deserve getting defiled by these hacks.
