When you see any Zimbabwean congratulating a ZANUPF appointment in the corrupt Government, such a person is the personification of what Dr Nkosana Moyo described when he said some Zimbabweans are not fighting for real change, but they are fighting to be included in the system so that they can also have their turn to “eat.” That is why some shady people try to separate some crooked individuals from the system that they are working for and that they happily embrace when called to serve it. If you walk into a corrupt Government and you stay there after seeing all the terrible things that the system is doing to our citizens, then you are also corrupt, because there is nothing to be congratulated about joining a corrupt mafia that steals from its people. The same applies to people who sit on parastatal boards pretending to be the voice of reason in a filthy corrupt organization, no they are there to make money and they have zero integrity. We should do away with the pretence that we see in some of our people who attempt to deceive us that anything good can come from a regime that can’t even buy paracetamol for grannies in townships and rural areas. These people are enablers, without them the corrupt system would have collapsed and many of them have no competent skills to market abroad. Let us have a clean moral standard and not pretend that there are aspects of the corrupt regime that are acceptable in being part of. How can any sane person want to be part of a regime that allows 2500 women to die annually giving birth. You have blood on your hands if you are part of that, it is a nonnegotiable reality! And those who congratulate that, shame on you!

South African composer Lebo M has filed a $20 million lawsuit in a U.S. federal court against Zimbabwean comedian Learnmore Jonas’s Mwanyenyeka. Lebo alleges misrepresentation, defamation and cultural misappropriation of the chant “Nants’ Ingonyama". “Nants’ Ingonyama,” is closely associated with global stage and film productions such as Lion King.

We are not entering the 4th Industrial Revolution, we are in it
Chipo Musarurwa Siziba@ChipoMusarurwaS

VP Chiwenga stated that as the world enters the Fourth Industrial Revolution, Africa and Southern Africa must not be left behind, and that the region must use its God-given resources to generate energy and enable economic growth. Vice President Constantino Chiwenga declared that Africa must harness its own natural resources to secure its place in the global shift toward the Fourth Industrial Revolution. “We are the owners of every God-given resource,” VP Chiwenga stated emphatically. “And we need those resources now to turn them if we are to have meaningful economic growth.” Speaking at an event showcasing innovation and regional energy projects, the Vice President warned that Africa cannot afford to be a passive observer as the world undergoes its next great technological transformation. He contrasted the current moment with the first Industrial Revolution, which he noted was driven exclusively by Europeans without the participation of the continent. “This Fourth Industrial Revolution requires everyone, and Africa cannot be left behind,” he said. “And more importantly, Southern Africa cannot be left behind.” A central theme of Chiwenga’s remarks was the critical role of energy as the foundation for all economic activity. He cautioned against viewing energy merely as a commodity, instead framing it as the essential engine for industry, agriculture, and mining. “A lot of people make mistakes that energy is one of the economic products, but no. It is an enabler for any activity to take place,” he explained. “Be it in industry, be it in agriculture, be it in mining, you need energy. And so it is an enabler.” The Vice President pointed to regional energy projects such as developments in green energy and the long-awaited Batoka hydroelectric scheme as key indicators that the enabler for economic growth is now within reach. “What we have seen here being displayed, and some ideas even coming from our institutions of higher learning, is quite encouraging,” he said. “There is a lot of innovation taking place across the board.” He emphasized that by generating and distributing energy collectively, Southern African nations can unlock sustained economic growth. “It is the region which has now come together to say, let’s put our minds together, let’s see how we can generate energy for ourselves, and how we can then eventually distribute it across the countries for economic growth. Quite encouraging.” The Vice President’s remarks signal a firm commitment to ensuring that Africa’s wealth benefits its own people, positioning the continent as an active participant in the global economy rather than a source of raw materials for others.

IT’S CALLED INTELLECTUAL HONESTY The attacks on Professor Jonathan Moyo for now supporting President @edmnangagwa miss a fundamental point: the greatest leaders in history evolved their positions as circumstances changed. Churchill crossed party lines twice when national interest demanded. Mandela negotiated with his jailers. Lincoln shifted on emancipation. Professor Moyo was a fierce critic, yes. That was then. Today, under the Second Republic, Zimbabwe has grown from a US$20 billion to a US$52 billion economy. Inflation is stabilized. Infrastructure is visible nationwide. Peace prevails. Is it "flip-flopping" to acknowledge when things improve? Or is it intellectual honesty? Those who demand permanent opposition regardless of results are not defending principle—they are defending perpetual negativity. Zimbabwe is moving forward. Supporting progress is not inconsistency. It is integrity. #NyikaInovakwaNeveneVayo
