Through ATHENA, DSTG can model and simulate the effects of today’s decisions on the entire ADF workforce over the next 40yrs. The US Navy have also used ATHENA to simulate the whole of its 266,000 personnel over 30yrs in just a few minutes.

2024 Minister’s Award recipient for Defence Science Achievement, Vivian Nguyen, bridges critical gap with her on-going leadership in the development of ATHENA - a world-leading enterprise-wide simulation, forecasting platform and workforce planning tool.

Lead Supercomputing Capability DSTG Dr Stuart Midgley and Discipline Leader Quantum Computing DSTG Dr Ben Travaglione welcomed the fantastic turnout and the chance to collaborate.
