We should've put Kaveri in an LCA and flown it, performance didn't matter, the goal was to gain confidence and flight data. We failed to manage the program - Air Marshal Philip Rajkumar

"Should have put Kaveri into a LCA airframe, and flown it, forget about the performance, just fly the aircraft, it doesn't matter as high or as fast as possible but at least you get a lot of confidence & data. We didn't manage the program" - AM Rajkumar

Appreciate her courage and presence of mind, especially since her call-out was impromptu. It takes a fair amount of courage to do that, particularly so early in one's career.

DRDO conducted a successful flight-test of #Pinaka Long Range Guided Rocket (LRGR) at the Integrated Test Range (ITR), Chandipur on July 08, The rocket was tested for a user defined minimum range of 60 kms. Demonstrating all in-flight manoeuvres as planned, the LRGR impacted on the target with textbook precision exactly following the predicted trajectory. All the deployed range instruments tracked the flight throughout its trajectory. @indiatvnews @DRDO_India

@Scpaul29 You expect failure at prototyping stages as you are developing technologies. What kind of stupid logic is that? An operational aircraft crashing is a big deal, prototypes are vulnerable, a certified aircraft should be safe.
English

@Defencematrix1 Is that still better than a platform that can’t even pass basic testing parameters with an even worse crash record at the prototype testing stage ?

It’s falling Drishti AKA Elbit Hermes from the Skies.
What a piece of Junk.
Rajat Pandit@IamRajat_Pandit
Another Navy heavy-duty drone or remotely-piloted aircraft Drishti-10, assembled in India by Adani Defence & Aerospace under license from Israel, crashed off Porbandar today. A Drishti-10, based on the Hermes 900 Starliner of Israeli firm Elbit Systems, had crashed in Jan 2025
English

@Defencematrix1 Why would 1 or even a few accidents seem one of India’s most important drones a piece of “junk” ? Isn’t this better than indigenous options that literally couldn’t take off or crashed during testing ?
