@kathryn_naomi People tend not to understand forgiveness. Its to give your right of collection (ie of a debt or a wrong) to God. Aka leaving it up to God to punish, not yourself. We should pray they find Christ and repent as well. Better to have them on our side than the enemies.

As someone who was SAed as a child, I understand why this makes people upset. *I* was upset. My situation was connected to the church, and it was NOT handled well. However, as a Christian, I am called to forgive and pray for my enemies. I leave their consequences in the Lord's hands. And He has EXTREMELY heavy consequences for those who do these kinds of things and never seek repentance.

@ChrisWickNews I don't necessarily regret my vote for Trump, his cabinet has done leagues better than what Kamalas would have. But geez he is making it really hard to support him. Whether it's ego, or just being bought off by foreign interests. That being said I'm grateful for RFK Jr atleast.

I didn’t vote for Donald Trump because I thought he was flawless. I voted because I thought he was the last off-ramp. The lesser of two evils… with a promise that actually meant something. No new wars. End the old ones. Put America First. That message hit hard. It felt like a reset. But look around now. Conflicts aren’t ending — they’re multiplying. Billions are still pouring overseas. Military support keeps expanding into places most Americans can’t even point to on a map. And back home? People are drowning quietly. Groceries cost more every week. Families are hanging on by a thread. Veterans — the ones who already gave everything — are still sleeping on the streets. Debt is crushing. Stress is everywhere. So I keep coming back to one question: What happened to America First? Because this doesn’t feel like it. This feels like the same machine… just repainted. I didn’t vote for global escalation. I didn’t vote to fund the world while Americans fall behind. I voted for peace abroad and stability at home. And right now? That promise feels further away than ever. This isn’t just disappointment anymore. People are starting to wake up.

@hdpayens If Mary had to be sinless for Christ to be born than so too must her mother have been, her grandmother etc. Mary was devout and deserves honor. But God doesn't call the qualifed, he qualifies the called. He gave her something special, but she too needed Christs sacrifice...

The Ark of the Covenant vanishes from Scripture after 2 Kings. No explanation. No recovery. Just silence. Then John writes Revelation 11:19. The Temple in heaven opens, and the Ark appears. The very next verse, without chapter break (those were added centuries later), describes a woman clothed with the sun, bearing a male child who will rule the nations with a rod of iron. This is not coincidence. This is typology operating at full force. Go back to 2 Samuel 6. David leaps before the Ark. He cries out, "How can the ark of the Lord come to me?" (2 Sam 6:9). The Ark remains at the house of Obed-edom for three months. Now read Luke 1. The infant John leaps in Elizabeth's womb. Elizabeth cries out, "Why is this granted to me that the mother of my Lord should come to me?" (Lk 1:43). Mary remains in the hill country of Judah for three months. Luke, a careful literary craftsman, is not stumbling into these parallels. He is constructing them deliberately. The old Ark carried three things. The stone tablets of the Law. The manna from heaven. Aaron's priestly rod. Mary carried the Lawgiver Himself. The true Bread from heaven (Jn 6:51). The eternal High Priest (Heb 4:14). The container is always sanctified by what it bears. The old Ark was overlaid with pure gold and could not be touched by unworthy hands. Uzzah died reaching for it (2 Sam 6:7). If God demanded such holiness for a wooden chest carrying stone tablets, what holiness would He prepare for the woman carrying God Incarnate? This is not Marian excess. This is scriptural logic followed to its conclusion. Which Protestant commentary adequately explains why Luke mirrors 2 Samuel 6 so precisely, if Mary holds no unique theological significance?

Keep in mind that 78.5% of Zoomers voted for Thomas Massie while 70% of those 65 and above vote for Gallrein. Zoomers voted for Massie because his message is No New Wars, End the Fed, and holding p*dophiles accountable. Boomers voted against Massie because these things are “going against Trump’s Republican Party.” You can’t make this up lol.

Someone in Wisconsin leased a 2023 Toyota Camry SE, used it for Uber and Lyft, and returned it after three years with 223,037 miles (358,941 km) on the clock averaging around 215 miles (346 km) every day. At the standard overage rate of $0.25 per mile, the extra mileage bill could have topped $40,000 more than the car’s original cost. But she avoided it thanks to the lease’s guaranteed buyout price. The dealer offered $3,000 below the buyout figure. She paid it and walked away with no penalty, no $40,000 bill. The Camry clearly handled the abuse like a champ. One month in, it had 5,400 miles (8,690 km), and nine days later, it already hit its 10,000-mile (16,093 km) service. Now it’s back for sale at Smart Toyota of Madison for $15,000. This story shows just how tough and reliable the Camry really is, even under extreme daily driving.

The crowd went nuts for it. The people in attendance loved it, and the social media numbers have been huge so far. But because Brock Lesnar “retired,” some people on Twitter suddenly don’t like it. People forget this is professional wrestling. Nobody is ever truly retired until they’re dead. #WWERaw

@fandompulse He invested a quarter million dollars in the making an MLK documentary, but turned MLK into a Chinese transgender who was focused more so on the veganism than race relations. He hopes people still enjoy the movie because he worked really really hard on it.

Christopher Nolan, responding in Time magazine this week to the avalanche of criticism over his Odyssey casting choices: "Hopefully they'll enjoy the film, even if they don't agree with everything. We had a lot of scientists complain about Interstellar. But you just don't want people to think that you took it on frivolously." He built a real seaworthy ship, shot entirely on 70mm IMAX, and spent $250 million. Is Nolan being dismissed too quickly, or did his casting choices earn the backlash?

@ryanburge My church gave my wife and I, relatively new members, thousands in cash and supplies for our newborns. They also gave me a college scholarship, let us use the chapel for free for our wedding, and feed us homemade Korean food every Sunday. It inspires me to want to do more.

In my new book The Vanishing Church, I tell the story about a church service I attended in college. Young guy comes in late with his girlfriend and baby. During Prayers of People he speaks up and says, "I lost my job and I'm not sure I can pay rent." "Lord in your mercy, Hear our prayer." As the service ends, an older guy comes up to that young man and says, "I own the lumber yard and you can come work with me tomorrow." It's not magic. It's how faith communities operate.

@BroncoBustdown @SantaDecides I'd argue hate speech isnt a thing, and that any speech outside of alarming/threats to physical safety are covered. Saying a nono word, while in bad taste, is legal.

@donnabrazile But they’re not today. Crying about life decades ago doesn’t help matters today. “I remember Jim Crow.” Big deal, I remember when black fathers stayed at home with their children and when 80% of black homes had a mom and dad.

#JimCrow in my daily life as a child: I can recall every door had a sign. Parks, theaters, restaurants, water fountains, restrooms, and even cemeteries were all segregated. Black Americans couldn’t move through public space as full human beings — we were 2nd class citizens.
