Little less than a day to go. We've fully funded so this IS happening, only thing to figure out now is how many adventures come with the book to allow you to use the cube sooner or more often. I am glad so many came together to make this happen. #top" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">backerkit.com/c/projects/att…

@iam_smx “Worked” is a bit of a misnomer here. Well, the platform still works, and the platform is better than a lot of the other things, after his takeover this platform is markedly worse than it was before.

@allriskyy @DailyNoud Every job is selling your body. OF girls get paid to show theirs, I get paid to break mine stocking shelves. You’re just envious that no one will give you money to look at your naked body, and try to attain a moral high ground that doesn’t exist.

@DailyNoud i hope he really does this: Nobody should be able to make income with a body. it's basically virtual body selling. They are way better good human being when they grow some potatoes and sell it and make income.

If you want alternate Guard models checkout Wargames Atlantic. They sell for half the price (ish) for double the minis and they are a great quality.

@Marky_X_ Coup. It’s quick to explain and quick to grok. The longest game of it I have ever played was 11 minutes. You can play it a dozen times with them and seeing them get better at it with each game is one of the best things ever.

You just got a call from your friends. "Let's do a game night." Problem? They mostly play UNO and Monopoly, yet are curious why you're so into it. What is the first game you are playing ?

@Nobleshield I heard disagree with number two… My biggest gripe about five is that everything… player characters, monsters, and NPC’s just have way too much in the hit point department

Nobleshield@Nobleshield·
Thus far, there are two major things I like more about 5e than old-school. Sorry, not sorry: 1) At-will Cantrips. While I DO think they need to be toned down a bit (should be the equivalent of a light crossbow, none of that scaling junk, and I wouldn't even give them damage types), but having casters with something they can do in combat rather than usually sitting there doing nothing is a good thing, rather than having them mostly sit there cheering on the rest of the group while they try to conserve spells for the important fights. I have a player playing an Illusionist and most of the fights he's sitting there doing nothing because he doesn't want to waste spells, and I've had to let him get creative (using Dancing Lights or Ghost Sound to distract creatures, giving them a small penalty) so he's not bored. 2) Monster HP. This was a tough thing to come to grips with, but seeing how "weak" even higher-level monsters are in most old-school games, especially when you have more than 4 PCs, means that while they are strong and can hurt if they hit, they generally don't even last that long. For example, I had my six 1st-level PCs face an Ettercop (C&C's name for the Ettercap), which is a level 5 (5HD) monster. Despite this, it only has AC 14 and 25 HP (averaged HP, not rolled). With 6 PCs (plus my wife's Druid has a lynx companion), I had to give it max HP to have an enjoyable fight, or it would have gotten killed the first round before it even struck a blow! Just like "unwinnable" fights are boring and lame, a big, scary monster that drops like a sack of potatoes with zero effort is also anticlimactic. I wasn't a fan of how HP is scaled up in 5e, but after this has happened several times, I see WHY it was done, and I can't disagree. Not everything new is lame garbage. Things change for reasons, and I'm starting to see that.

This is funny because I thought the Tau were meant to be closer to a "good guy" faction with a sleek modern tech / anime aesthetic.
Marshal Bohemond ⚔️⛨ | Space Marine Vtuber@HMBohemond

I think the ultimate irony of Tau larpers is that they sit there and call the Imperium of Man fascist and Imperium fans fascist for liking them. All while talking about how the Tau Empire is a force for moral good within the Warhammer 40,000 universe. The Tau Empire is fascist. Not "I don't like it" fascist the way leftists describe the ideology. Actually, unironically, politically fascist. It is run by an all controlling dictator, the Ethereal Supreme. It's economy is controlled by the state. The state (the Greater Good) is the subject of secular worship. You are not allowed to betray, leave, or disagree with the state. That, by definition, is fascism. "B-b-b-ut it's actually an Indian caste system!" Guess what? The Tau Empire is not only fascist, but but styled off Nazism. The Tau castes are by definition races. Race is segregated. Your role in society is determined by race. You can never be anything but what your race determines. One race, the Ethereals, are considered superior in every way. Non-Tau are third class citizens or worse, just outright exterminated because the state has no use for them. But hey, the trains run on time in the Tau Empire, right? Sound familiar? Tau are fascists. By Tau fan logic, this makes Tau fans fascists. Don't hate me, I'm just holding you to your own standards.

TTRPG folks, why INITIALLY did you want to play? I don't mean why you eventually kept playing. What was the feeling, the thought, whatever, that made you seek out this hobby?

@justalexoki I have tried it, I do not like it. The juice from the pineapple seeps into the sauce and then the tomato sauce winds up being far too sweet for my liking. Hypothetically, I would be willing to try a pizza that is cooked and then has the pineapple put on afterwards.

Their 18 year old daughter just graduated a few weeks ago. Her parents thought they were being fair for not kicking her out at 18 but they are kicking her out after she graduates. They told her if she wanted to stay, effective June 1st, she would have to start paying them $200 a month plus the costs of her own food. If she wanted the rent with meal plan, it’s $300 a month and she can eat from their fridge. They feel they are teaching her responsibility in a controlled environment. I think the amount they are charging is reasonable and fair, it’s still cheaper than being on her own. Do you think this is too expensive too cheap, or do the just hate their kid?
SonnyBoy🇺🇸@gotrice2024

This man complains that his daughter stays in her room all day and doesn’t enjoy talking to him and his wife. Whenever she does come down for food or water, he’s always reminding her that when she turns 18 either she can move out or pay rent. I never understood why people do this as a scare tactic to teach kids responsible. Is it possible that his interactions like this is actually damaging his relationship with his daughter. Isn’t he giving her a vibe that he doesn’t want her around or is this a part of teaching her responsibility?
