Business owners in Canada are upset with stricter immigration policies. Imagine owning a business just so you could hire people from overseas in exchange for money. Essentially, you post a job advertisement but refuse to hire locals. Instead, you interview international applicants and take cash from them under the table to hire them so they can obtain their immigration papers. This scheme is widely famous, and the government did nothing about it until now. In fact, the government actually loved it because more money flowed to business owners, who then opened more businesses, allowing the government to collect more in taxes and showcase how business-friendly it was. The government did not want to stop this practice but was forced to act due to the housing shortage and severe backlash from Canadians. As a result, all those restaurants that were opened solely to exploit the LMIA (Labour Market Impact Assessment) system and selling immigration papers are now closing down. #CANADAREFORM #SAYNOTOFRAUD
