NBA let the Spurs get Wemby, Castle, and Harper in back to back to back drafts and then give the Pacers (who saw their franchise start tear his Achilles in G7 of finals) pick to a team who’s owner gave his best player 28 mil under the table. (Not mad at spurs. They’re great)

@roosterbra812 Rooster brother my problem is if whoever is drafted 5 - 10 is a 25 ppg killer we lost bad. Ty fits next to anyone and whoever we would have drafted all of which I think are more natural scorers (not better) then Ty who is a more natural floor general and scores in opportunity.

The problem is that Pacers fans are looking at this like we lost Dybantsa or DP or Boozer or Wilson for Zubac. We didn’t. We gave up Wagler or Flemings or Burries or Acuff. Was it a lot? Yes. Will it pay off? It very well could. But at least the front office believes in the core.

@AlexGoldenNBA listening to the podcast and thinking where we could have been if we would have paid Turner the 27mil or whatever he was asking of the @Pacers and still got something for Ben Mathurin and had our pick im sure still lottery is kinda devastating.

@iPacersblog Unless Zu is something more the we've seen (a starting caliber center) then I would most certainly would rather have a shot at a top 5 draft pick in this draft especially if anyone falls Wilson or Peterson either one

I'm really sorry to all our fans. I own taking this risk. Surprised it came up 5th after this year. I thought we were due some luck. But please remember - this team deserved a starting center to compete with the best teams next year. We have always been resilient.

Wow. The #Pacers’ pick dropped to No. 5 in the NBA Draft lottery and therefore goes to the #Clippers. That’s quite the gut punch after Indiana finished with the worst record in franchise history in 2025-26.
