It should be obvious by now that Israel’s goal was not to actually come up with a viable regime change plan, but to convince the Trump administration that they had a plan. Israel’s primary goal was to get us into this war, knowing that once we were in it we’d have a hard time leaving. So far their actual plan is working. Israel is comfortable with Iran spiraling into chaos & this war being a long & costly slog for us. Until we realize that Israel has drastically different objectives in this war we will be stuck in the current cycle.

If you say the US has no interest in continuing war in Iran, and Trump is only doing it to serve Israel and the Gulf State tyrannies he loves and that enrich his family, you'll be called an anti-Semitic conspiracy theorist. But then Trump just comes out and says it himself:

Graham is laying the groundwork for decades of chaos and blow back terrorism. The concept of sending arms to the locals sounds good at first but has never served our long-term interests. Our efforts to "arm the people" of governments we don't like led to the rise of the Taliban, Al-Qaeda, ISIS, every Shia militia in Iraq as well as the destabilization of Iraq, Syria, Libya, and Yemen, just to name a few. I say this as a former Green Beret and CIA Paramilitary Ops officer who has been involved in these operations- they simply don't work in the long run. There is no military solution to our conflict with Iran, POTUS should stop listening to those who have not updated their thinking since 2003 and get us out of this mess before we are sucked further in.
