Delaware Democrats are proposing bloating the education budget by nearly $2.4 billion, while test scores remain stagnant and below national averages. Despite already spending over $21,000 per student—one of the highest in the country—kids continue to fail. As State Sen. Eric Buckson said, “We can make the change and implement the changes. We can decide then if we want to add more money.” Republicans agree that spending is already sky-high and demand real results from new approaches like hybrid learning before pouring in another dime.

Ranked a dismal 49th in the nation for math recovery since 2019, with not a single district back to pre-2019 performance, our kids are paying the price under decades of Democrat one-party rule in Dover. Parents are fleeing in droves: Private school enrollment has surged to over 19,800 students (12.4% of all K-12 kids, vs. 8.7% in the US), with home and private options seeing sharp increases amid public declines like a 1%+ drop in high schools.
