@xIWanderlustIx They'll fix a few major bugs and call it a day, ignoring all the features players are asking for. These new outfits will always be a flop and feel out of place. No one who really knows classic TR would design them like this and think they’re okay.

I don't want to sound boring but I only see 2 options for this. Apsyr & Magic do not care enough about 1-3 to fix patches it will forever be broken under their control. Either they release challenge mode as a separate download so it does not interfere with 1-3 or do a rollback.

@joetoooown I really hope they stay away from TR456 remasters after what they did to 123.

I hope this’ll be the last patch that you do. Unless saber is involved that is, because you and that other team will ruin it I don’t want you touching TR4-6 PLEASE. AOD is currently the best it’s ever been in terms of performance and if you ruin it I’d cry… I only want saber🙂

Troye, one of the programmers who was hired by Saber for his TR3 decomp project, and HEAVILY contributed to the creation of modern controls, adding TR3 features like crouch animations, the lost High Security Compound cutscene, and the final boss theme, says this via Bluesky:

Hey folks, just to clarify. I was not involved in the art direction of this new patch with the Challenge Mode for Tomb Raider I-II-III Remastered. Nome of the original developers at Saber was involvement in it.

@infinityTRaider Can confirm it's manual editing, not AI. Modern gaming platforms have strict rules regarding controller buttons and tutorials.

@HexHyte It's actually one of our bigger updates. I doubt anyone's had time to replay all three games since yesterday, so I recommend checking out the full patch notes I linked in another post. As for modders - they have complete freedom and all the time in the world. (1/2)
