This is one of my favorite moments .. With Bill Walton and Dave Pasch at the ASU/Oregon game a few years back. Bill couldn’t have been more gracious… he wanted me to stay and do the rest of the game. Dave wanted to schedule an appointment with a therapist.

I could tell when she was a freshman and rebounding and playing strong inside that @NidezNayeli was on a path to greatness. Now a senior, Nidez-Acuña is there and continues the climb reaching 1,000 points in her career tonight. She finished with 24 in a 64-56 win over Pueblo and is now at 1,017 points and almost 800 rebounds in her career.

Remember her name: @LadyDevil_Hoops freshman guard Ylena Gross (pronounced grahs) is someone to watch over the next few years. Brings energy with a shooting touch, making the 3-pointers and finishing with 19 points in a 64-56 win over Pueblo tonight.

.@LadyDevil_Hoops coach @CoachDelgado012 has his team off to a 9-1 start this season, his fourth at Sunnyside after coaching the boys team at Baboquivari to success. Sunnyside has productive mixture of veteran leadership including Nayeli Nidez-Acuña at the post to a talented freshman backcourt of Dora Medina and Ylena Gross.

Lucky to have Coach Delgado here. He's one of the best.

.@LadyDevil_Hoops coach Justin Delgado has changed the culture of girls hoops at the Southside school by giving the sport the attention, determination and effort it deserves. Blue Devils are 8-1 and leading Pueblo (participant in last year’s 4A championship) by a score of 35-28 at halftime.

A perfectly executed 2-minute drill by @wyatthorton_2 & the Pioneers’ offense. First a downfield shot to @KeenanJ94722533 caught despite PI 🎯 Then the TD to Josh Pinder with 3.9 seconds left. 2 pt. good, @GoBigBlue_PHS up 21-9 at half.

Wishing all the best to @CoachBollnow at @TVUSDschools HS. First year as head coach after serving as defensive coordinator at Cienega under Pat Nugent and Sahuarita under Jake Price. Dad is respected HS football ref @kirbybollnow. Congratulations to Bollnows!
