Apolitical, but hosted Farage. Haven't seen you host any leaders of any other political parties any time recently, and a political party / leader that's so controversial and misaligned with our values too. That was a promo, not just a visit.

I think part of the incensed reaction is due to the hypocrisy of the man who said "keep politics out of football" using a football club for political gain. Club definitely should have said no, and I think there would have been less backlash (same logic, he said it)

I'm not talking about forcing LGBTQ+ people into football, but look at the kind of backlash Josh Cavallo faced when he came out. Football is clearly not an accepting-enough space for LGBTQ+ players yet.

@DeanRobertsclb @itfchelp @IpswichTown @RainbowTractors Bringing people together and getting rid of barriers like prejudice and hate is objectively a good thing, if your politics disagree, then so be it, but don't force it on others. ~4% of UK men are LGBTQ. 0% of male players in the 92 are. Need to fix that, even with symbolism.

I know its easy to say and hard to do, but I stand by it.

I don't care what individual fans express, that's free speech. What I do care about, is when those fans do something that makes other fans of the same club feel unwelcome, and when football clubs get involved, because that's the club making a statement on all our behalf. #itfc
