Container ship BLUE STAR 3 (IMO: 9133147) was boarded by a US Marine Expeditionary Unit while departing Pakistan's Gwadar Port. The vessel was underway to Oman's Sohar Port at the time of the boarding. The operation was conducted within Pakistan's Exclusive Economic Zone.

Earlier today in the Arabian Sea, U.S. Marines from the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit boarded M/V Blue Star III, a commercial ship suspected of attempting to transit to Iran in violation of the U.S. blockade of Iranian ports. U.S. forces released the vessel after conducting a search and confirming the ship’s voyage would not include an Iranian port call. American forces continue to operate and enforce the blockade across the Middle East. So far, 39 vessels have been redirected to ensure compliance.

Likely not, at the closest point the vessels have remained 3 nautical miles apart while moving in different directions - no escort role, just passing each other, unlike the others the navy has actually secured transit for. This is just likely the op area for IN.

People like me who post aviation content from open domain was detained for 4 hours by the Delhi Police Special Cell. In India many intelligence agencies also don’t understand aviation properly, the question they were asking me was so silly- how you know the aircraft reg, how you know the location of the aircraft & many more silly questions In today’s time- any common man can get the details of any aircraft online from Reddit, FB, Insta or other SM platforms. Even the flight radar shows the aircraft reg, when it was clicked, location where it was clicked, date time etc. On insta, Facebook Reddit & on YouTube you can access so much aviation content related to IAF which is posted by many IAF Serving personnel and their wife. Like Everything is from open domain. I have never posted anything on this platform which is not there in public domain. Yes I don’t mention the source many time They checked my laptop, phone but didn’t find anything. I m just 20 & I faced this because in India Posting about aircrafts, taking images, making videos is a crime.

Not shocking at all as the user has been intentionally sharing military movements, videoing from sensitive locations and uploading ground imagery - not stuff from the "open domain" as he claims, the user has also been banned from X previously at least 3 times for fake news

This is shocking ! I’m sorry you went through this, but you haven’t mentioned when where and how they came to detain you ? Did they stop you at an airport ? Did they come to your house with summons? Did they call you and ask you to visit the police station ? Was it based on someone’s complaint? Were they surveilling you ? Lots of missing details. The extant law provides that Posting of military aircraft info and installations can be construed as a breach of law, also photography at some airports is illegal. Other than that there is no issue. In fact, I would give credit to the Delhi police that they noticed your posts. India needs to be vigilant & protect itself. I haven’t see the type of content you post, but it’s always good to credit the source, (at the bottom of your tweet) and stay distant from posting military stuff unless it’s open source pics.
