WATCH: Last interview I did with Andy Burnham (in February) for a radio piece on whether Manchester’s 3% decade long annual growth had lessons for rest of the UK economy… Was it really anything to do with his Mayoral powers? What about rates of homelessness… Do people live in these skyscrapers? He talks about the centrality of the university, tech and inward investment. He says there is now net inward migration to Manchester from London to fuel the economy, and invites more people to come. Starmer' 'crunch' speech didn't change anything. Catherine West's decision to go ahead with her challenge confirms it. Now up to Scottish Labour MPs to decide what and who they stand for. Public is watching.
