@artesepam @theHauteMesh @MrDanielBuck I would go to the police myself. I had a situation years ago where a student who allegedly had a gun was threatening my life just about everyday. I told admin since they couldn't help me, I would file an EPO. They begged me not to do it. The only reason I didn't was COVID-19.

I never explained why I left my last school publicly, but it's a story I feel compelled to explain at least once. In short, I was told (always implicitly) that I could not continue to write and work there at the same time. I was asked to screen all articles with higher ups before publishing. I was asked to consider if working in a school and writing were paths that could run in parallel. I was outright told that I should not publish certain ideas publicly. I doubt anyone noticed, but there was about a 4 month period last year where I just stopped publishing. I kept writing, but articles that I just stored away for publish at some later date. Eventually, I had to decide if I wanted to speak truthfully and openly or continue to work in a school. It's the single hardest decision I think I've ever had to make and I'm still unsure about what I chose, but ultimately, I decided that I had to continue to speak my mind over one particular job. My conscience came before my paycheck. [exeunt]

@MrDanielBuck I was told (in a recorded meeting) that a student's 3-day suspension was changed to being sent home for the day because of his race and he had an IEP. The suspension was due to aggression towards me

For instance, high school students are given noise making toys in the class as long as they are called fidgets. It doesn't matter if others are distracted. If one kid severely disrupts the class, they don't send that kid out. Instead they send all the other students out.

If you haven’t taught in a classroom post-Covid, you don’t know what it is like to teach the modern student. The students have changed. Teaching has changed. You have to be in the classroom daily to understand what I mean.

@XVanFleet @Ma_WuKong If these Communist loving Americans had to live in Communist countries for 6 months, they wouldn't love it so much. The problem is most of these self avowed Maoists spout their rhetoric while having cushy lifestyles, but claiming to be oppressed.

Selective patriotism is people going from being skeptical of government to madly in love with it based on which party is in power. If their favorite party is in power, life is good no matter what. If the other party is in charge, life is doomed and everybody is going to die.

Conservatives used to demand conviction. We rejected politicians who followed the polls, treated the Constitution as optional, or folded under pressure. We expected leaders to stand on principle and think beyond the next election. @RepThomasMassie has done exactly that. Whether you agree with him on every issue or not, his record is consistent, constitutional, and proven. He isn’t responsible for the debt, the waste, or Washington losing its focus on protecting children and securing our future. That belongs to politicians who choose convenience over courage. Endorsing his opponent doesn’t show strength — it shows calculation. And voters can see the difference.

@EndymionYT As a historian, it hurts to see people butcher history. Especially when I see Mao's playbook in real time about getting rid of old beliefs.

Do you know how many states record the immigration status of people that are arrested? ONE! That’s it. And the left just runs with these talking points!🧐

An educational system that ties funding to metrics like attendance and graduation rates actively incentivizes dishonesty. With these incentives in place, a school that enforces standards by removing disruptive or dangerous students or fails kids who don’t put in effort loses funding and a school that lies and passes everyone along and keeps bodies in seats no matter what gets rewarded.

Differentiation is a teaching theory invented in response to a seemingly intractable problem: when we mass-educate by age instead of ability, we end up with students at wildly different levels of knowledge and skill in the same room. Rather than address that underlying issue, we ask one teacher to teach multiple curricula at once and grade as if those differences don’t exist. When this predictably fails, the blame is placed on the teacher instead of where it belongs: on the bunk theory itself.

@SamWitwer I am so sick and tired of this bullshit. My brother (Whom you met) is Hispanic (half.) I’m terrified for him and my step-dad who is also half Hispanic. I shouldn’t need to worry about them.
