The West Has Already Lost the Drone War. It Just Hasn’t Noticed Yet. Here is something that should ruin your Monday. A Ukrainian AI drone engineer has gone on record to explain, calmly and with considerable evidence, that Western military planning is not behind the times. It is not lagging. It is not in need of reform. It is dead. Obsolete. A relic propped up by expensive acronyms and men in uniforms who still think the tank is the apex predator of land warfare. Yaroslav Azhnyuk, founder of AI drone company The Fourth Law, has done the maths. FPV drones now account for somewhere between 70 and 80 percent of frontline casualties in Ukraine. Not artillery. Not missiles. Not the armoured columns that NATO has spent forty years and several fortunes preparing to counter. Small, cheap, autonomous flying machines that cost about as much as a decent restaurant dinner and kill with the precision of a surgeon. But here is where it gets genuinely terrifying. China can produce four billion FPV drones per year. Ukraine, a country that has been at war for three years and is building faster than anyone in the West, manages four million. That is the kind of number that makes you want to lie down on the floor and stare at the ceiling for a while. The West is not losing the AI arms race because it lacks the technology. One week after he buys it, his commerce department approves AMD doing business in China as well.  The following month, in February, Trump buys millions of dollars worth of stock in Dell. Nine days after he buys millions of dollars worth of stock in Dell, Trump veers off script in a speech in Georgia to tell the crowd literally, quote, go out and buy a Dell computer.  Then in March, Judd Legum at Popular Information reports that Trump repeatedly buys up Thermo Fisher stock, and then he goes and visits Thermo Fisher on a presidential visit and praises the company. That same day, Trump bought hundreds of thousands of dollars of stock in Apple. And then that same day he bought the stock, he did another event where he singled out Apple and Apple CEO Tim cook for praise. Apple a great company. Then after that, Trump buys Micron stock. The very next day, he calls into the Fox News channel and tells them Micron is one of the hottest companies. CNBC reporting Trump makes seven separate purchases of Palantir stock. Hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of Palantir stock. Then he gets on truth social and praises Palantir.

You can't sue yourself. You can't settle with yourself. And you can't hijack a legitimate victim compensation fund and turn it into a taxpayer-funded payoff scheme for January 6 insurrectionists. Congress never authorized this and we won't let it stand.

I have not pulled the trigger on this since Jan 2021 and the pardons of all the Jan 6 defendants, but I think there's a strong argument that the settlement of Trump's bogus, unconstitutional case in return for a $1.8b fund for 'Biden weaponization' is an impeachable offense.
