Today, we have started by conducting interviews with the oral historians, education officer at Gede, local community members and the officers from @NatcomUnescoKe and @museumsofkenya on the impact of Gede ruins on the community and the importance of digitising the Gede ruins.

@antonioguterres This situation has revealed major fragilities in the so called global solidarity, which obviously does not apply to all. Can the world hear African voices? Yes. But are they paying attention? NO. It is clear that Africa would have been ostracised should Covid appeared there.

I'm deeply concerned about the isolation of southern African countries due to new #COVID19 travel restrictions. The people of Africa cannot be blamed for the immorally low level of vaccinations available & should not be penalized for sharing health information with the world.

@gittezschoch Culture must stop being seen as a luxury, when it's a necessity, the unifying element that has been helping people through this pandemic. Although it is integrated across the SDGs, its contribution is undervalued, when it should be the driven force in policy making.
