@tonkolili Sheka, it is very important to hear the Ministry’s response to the 2024 Audit findings. There were 11 specific findings. All of which have been fully addressed. We will hold a presser next week to address all the issues and clearly articulate the internal controls instituted.

Earlier today, @MarampaMines handed over to @DembyAustin a consignment of medical supplies to support healthcare delivery. These supplies will go a long way to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients; especially women and children.

This morning, #MoH made history as @DembyAustin and @dsengeh launched the presidential-led 300 Days of Activism initiative to improve maternal and child health with a focus on 3 zeros: 0 preventable maternal deaths, 0 preventable child deaths and zero zero dose children.

Their discussion included implementing the protocol agreement already in place until 2030 for @MercyShips to continue with education, training & dentistry work. For 3 consecutive years now, Mercy Ship has performed over 3000 FREE life-saving surgeries for less privilege people.

On #WorldCancerDay today, #MoH @DembyAustin showcases protection of over 1 million girls against #CervicalCancer in just 10 days as turning point in the fight against the disease. New CT Scans & ultrasound devices mean access to screening & treatment for all cancer patients.

A high-level delegation from the @worldbankgroup just paid a courtesy call on @DembyAustin to comprehensively brief him on project activities and other work related issues. All this is geared towards identifying and addressing challenges and improving health service delivery.

I was delighted to meet @gavi CEO, Dr. Sania Nishtar, @SaniaNishtar, at the World Governments Summit 2026. Sierra Leone endorses the @gavi 6.0 strategy (2026-2030), launched earlier this year, and we remain committed to supporting @gavi's upcoming replenishment cycle to promote global vaccine equity.

This morning, I attended the opening ceremony of this year’s World Governments Summit in Dubai, alongside fellow Heads of State, private sector leaders, and representatives from governments and international organizations. Later, I had a productive meeting with H.E. Dr. Vjosa Osmani-Sadriu, President of the Republic of Kosovo, where we committed to deepening bilateral cooperation between our nations.
