Hi Twitter... have a video update for once, after all my talk about tech, optimisations, bugs, etc. Perfectly seamless portals with accurate physics, rendering and collision. Long objects half sticking through double sided multi-entry portals... who needs that? Me, apparently!

This was a very rollercoaster GDC, and I am exhausted. I definitely got what I needed out of it and way more than I was looking for, and am very excited to continue doing more of what I have already been doing for technically 8 years so far lol.

I never had SNES as a kid. First time I played Chrono Trigger was in 2010s on a SNES emulator. I just grabbed a random ROM I found on the Internet and was like "Huh?! This is fun!" I can't believe such game was released in 1995. Happy birthday Chrono Trigger!

Chrono Trigger released 31 years ago today on March 11, 1995! The game brought together the RPG Dream Team of Hironobu Sakaguchi (Final Fantasy), Yuji Horii (Dragon Quest) and Akira Toriyama (Dragon Quest & Dragon Ball)

There's definitely some tech I want to finish after I get back from GDC, but this game is becoming more just a production problem than any kind of high concept, does it work, can I make the tech, will the writing get there, kind of thing. Getting more down to flow and dressing.

My favourite thing about walking around a conference is heading towards one thing, bumping into people and diverting to someone else, then finding another person and meandering off again. Just letting it all flow.

Today I took my first ride in a Waymo. Then I took 2 more trips. This is way more fun than taking a taxi / uber. I'm sure the novely will wear off, but I'm all about it for now!
