A major milestone for Irish sport. Minister for Culture, Communications and Sport Patrick O’Donovan, Minister of State with special responsibility for Sport and Postal Policy Charlie McConalogue, Sport Ireland Chair John Foley, and CEO Dr Úna May officially broke ground on the National Velodrome and Badminton Centre (NVBC) at the Sport Ireland Campus. The NVBC is the first flagship development under the Sport Ireland Campus Masterplan and a transformative investment in Ireland’s sporting future. This world-class facility will include Ireland’s first 250m indoor velodrome, 12 international-standard badminton courts, and seating for up to 1,000 spectators. It will become the high-performance home of Cycling Ireland and Badminton Ireland, supporting elite athletes year-round and creating new pathways for participation at every level. sportireland.ie/campus/news/mi…

Thrilled with today's announcement by Minister's Martin @cathmartingreen and Byrne @ThomasByrneTD of approval to go to tender on the National Velodrome and Badminton Centre for the @SportIreCampus. This is an absolutely key part of the Campus Masterplan.
