@MisterCusick @mjsc2opp @nfldraftscout On the flip side, 1st round picks have fully guaranteed contracts whereas many of the 2nd rounders do not. So if your pick doesn't work out, you're stuck paying for it.

Cycling Brands Ltd are extremely saddened to hear of the passing of Larry Hickmott - a stalwart of British Cycling who will be greatly missed by all. We knew Larry through his site VeloUK, through which he had been a huge supporter of our brands over the many years. He was always keen to amplify British Cycling's voices at every level - his impact on the sport domestically through his coverage is immeasurable, and our thoughts are with his family and loved ones.

Very saddened to hear of the passing of Larry Hickmott of @VeloUK. He’s had a poor spell of health of late which saw him hospitalised and his partner Lynne announced the news earlier today on FB. The UK racing scene will miss his reporting, insights and presence. RIP Larry

Only if needed. Remember, if the Raiders spend under the cap this year, that cap space can be carried over to next season. They're not gonna just throw money just to throw money at somebody, from this point on. They understand the rebuild is gonna take some time.

@its__Hazy If it's a true rebuild year, better to save some more cap space for next 1-2 years when they are ready for a real run and looking for the final (expensive) pieces... IMO.

@its__Hazy They will probably convert his 2026 salary to bonus and free up some space. But he's already on the hook for $30 million a year cap hit in future years plus most of the free agents they signed have backloaded contracts. Cap may become a problem next year if they are not careful

All this is difficult for everyone. The Raiders will work through different scenarios—some teams called last night, but Vegas isn't going to trade Crosby on a discount. And keeping him with a revamped crew around him isn't the worst idea in the world.
