We are 1 of only 60 licensed foster homes in Nueces County & today we officially updated our license to include teenagers! 💞 Currently, Nueces county has 320 children in the CPS system. Half are placed through kinship, and the others go to foster homes. When there aren’t enough foster homes available for placement children get spread throughout the region or state… If you can, PLEASE open your home up as well!

🚨ABOLISH THE CCASRCD🚨 My office is currently drafting a bill to ABOLISH the Corpus Christi Aquifer Storage & Recovery Conservation District. The district was initially created in 2005 to study & potentially build an ASR by the airport. This district should have been disbanded when its purpose was completed… instead the city turned it into a makeshift Groundwater Conservation District. I was proud to carry HB 2306! One year ago, I told Governor Abbott I wanted to eliminate parole for human traffickers, and we made it happen this session.

A severe thunderstorm warning has been issue for southwestern Nueces county and eastern Jim Wells County until 3:30 pm. This includes Robstown, Driscoll, Banquete, Agua Dulce, Petronila, and North San Pedro. 60 mph winds as well as quarter sized hail is expected.
