I am reading this book this week and to be honest, it’s intriguing! Africans alone can sort out their mess. Recommended for the curious reader. The kind of book you read with a pen and notebook.

I will try and get it since I am on leave with amazing time to spare. Last year I read another interesting perspective from the book Why Nations Fail: The Origins of Power, Prosperity, and Poverty by Daron Acemoglu and James Robinson. Interestingly, they all align with the same narrative.

Basically, not necessarily in the offensive but in the defensive. More importantly, an Executive Order has legality to it while the Memorandum is more parsimonious.

But he is neither entitled to his own set of facts nor to misleading claims. He singled out a U.S. President for an Executive Order that was, in fact, a Proclamation which is a different thing altogether.

Your book does not present evidence of an Obama Executive Order. And if I was to be nitpicky, Obama was NOT President in 2019.
