Adrian Jerry “AJ” Gonzalez, 25, pleaded guilty in juvenile court. Gonzalez was tried as a juvenile at age 21 and received the maximum sentence of three years. Before his scheduled release, the Santa Cruz County District Attorney petitioned to keep him incarcerated, arguing he remains a danger to society.
