"Cohabition is a sin" Just 8 months, why are you running?

The ACs in my house are rarely used because they're older models, but they're still very functional. When NEPA (PHCN) used to bring estimated bills to where we live, the ACs were always on 24/7. For example: They would bring an estimated N25k for a month's usage, and I would be complaining. I would tell my wife to go and pay N15k to avoid disconnection. We would move on. It continued like that until the day they gave us a pre-paid meter. When they brought the meter, they told us that all the unpaid bills from past estimated billings would be factored into the meter. It amounted to about N600k. And they told us that we had six months to pay it back. This means that each time we were to purchase light units, we had to buy more than N100k units; otherwise, we wouldn't have electricity in the house.. That was how I started buying units of N150k each time: N100k for debt, and N50k for electricity to be used until it was fully consumed. Na so we stop to dey use AC anyhow ooo. That was when I realized that the estimated billing days were a luxury. We would manage the N50k units for a few months before we went to buy another N150k. We have since finished paying the N600k. But we no dey use AC again. We dey find who go buy dem sef. So I fit add the little money to buy modern ones that are inverter friendly and consume less power. Till then... Na Fan all the way. End.
