I learn for a living. During the week, I take time out to use what I've learned for the benefit of my consulting clients.

"I'm tired of hearing that AI tooling works only for demos and prototypes." Using Claude-Flow to manage a swarm of Claude-Code agents, @Derek_Ashmore has developed a field-tested framework for modernizing legacy applications—from 12-factor cloud-native assessments to full migration planning. At AI Native DevCon, Derek is delivering both a talk and a hands-on workshop on application modernization. You'll see concrete outputs from real-world exercises: assessing cloud fitness, analyzing SaaS migration viability, and planning roadmaps that account for technical debt and compliance gaps. The key insight: AI agents can handle complex decomposition, but human judgment remains critical at specific checkpoints. Learn how to use agentic engineering practices to plan significant changes to legacy codebases. 📍 DevCon is November 18-19th in NYC. 🎫 Tickets and full lineup: ainativedev.co/vtf Use the discount code DEREK25 to get 25% off your tickets

The Tools-in-Action track at DevCon is where you'll see the actual tools, with live demos and real code. On this track, you'll find: - @Derek_Ashmore (Agentic AI Principal, Asperitas Consulting) showing AI-powered modernization with Claude-Flow. Taking legacy code to cloud-native. Not migration scripts - actual AI agents doing the heavy lifting. - Dru Knox (Head of AI, Tessl) unlocking "agent beast mode" with Tessl. This is about pushing agents beyond basic task completion into complex, multi-step development workflows. - Jonathan Vogel + Onur Dogruoz (@awscloud) demonstrating context-aware development in Kiro. How much context can you actually give an AI before it breaks? They're showing the limits. - @jbaruch (Head of DevRel, Tuxcare) + Viktor Gamov (Principal Developer Advocate, Confluent) running RoboCoders: Judgment Day. AI spec-driven tools going head-to-head. Which one actually delivers working code from a spec? You'll see the tools work. You'll see them fail. You'll understand exactly what they can do today, and what you can try back at work (or at home!). 📍 DevCon is November 18-19th in NYC. 🎫 Tickets and full lineup: ainativedev.co/vtf

Love your Inner Classical Music Geek
Prokofiev was born on 23 April, using O.S. dates. When the system moved his birthday to 27 April, Sergei continued to celebrate on the 23rd. This takes me to a full year of anniversary posts, but what the heck? What are your favourite recordings of Prokofiev’s Piano Concertos?
Love your Inner Classical Music Geek@LoveInner

Happy Birthday Sergei Prokofiev. Anyone else listening to his music today? I going for these two.

One school of thought believes that "the rapid rate of technological change exceeds their organization’s capacity to implement these innovations into their operations." We disagree and have shared actions with Digital CXO that can address this gap. digitalcxo.com/article/tech-e…

@LoveInner His complete set is fantastic. I've owned a copy for 30+ years. As a piano student, I use Schnabel's fingerings for those sonatas. His edition is out of print, but his fingerings are available in the Henle app.
