Grew our family business making American-made products for e-commerce, now added a passion for homeschooling our kids. I love using AI tech to spend more time teaching and exploring and less time making lessons. Here to share my journey in business and education.

@andygreder @PioneerPress If PJ doesn’t kick him off the team or at least keep him out of meaningful games next year his talking points are a fraud and he loses all credibility, the rules must apply to everyone and clearly Drake didn’t think they would

Updated news story: #Gophers starting quarterback Drake Lindsey, 20, arrested for underage drinking in Arkansas, according to records. The U has issued a statement to @PioneerPress: “We are aware of the situation and will address it internally.” twincities.com/2026/05/01/gop…

@JaredDHardin $200 hand grinder is ultra satisfying to use and makes the biggest difference in quality of all the equipment I have purchased. Grinders are not made equal. Aeropress if you like black coffee, order fresh beans from @OnyxCoffeeLab

@jessegenet @christofsalis Actual question, how much time does it take you to set up your AI agents, monitor them, improve them and talk about them? Not against it as a homeschool parent at all but just curious. If you talk about AI in a homeschool group though you will get attacked with ferocity.

Does anyone notice that people in public everywhere just seem anxious? I seldom see people who look happy or want to chat. What happened?

Anyone else just... tired, a LOT? Like, I sleep 8 hours a night, more or less. Eat super clean. Workout, steps, etc. But I yawn 50+ times a day. Anyone else? Any tips?

The most important part of your record keeping is the high school transcript. Since you are your child’s school, you can generate this. There are several things to know when creating it to assure validity and credit for your child’s work. This one came from fasttranscripts.com they have a great FAQ section.

My top piece advice if you want to homeschool, or you’re still new to homeschooling: Find a homeschool convention near you this year. The statewide and nationwide conventions will have vendor halls with over 100 curriculum vendors, colleges, sellers of wholesome books, and extracurricular programs. The regional and city conventions will have the same thing on a smaller scale. There will be workshops for anywhere from 1-3 days that teach, encourage, and inspire moms and dads. Many of the larger conventions offer special programs for kids and teens. You’ll get to see the massive variety of homeschool curriculum available for every need and budget. You’ll get to speak to the creators, pick up the books, flip through them, and ask questions. You’ll be surrounded by likeminded people, which is so important! You’ll get discounted prices for buying in person. And you will leave with so much inspiration! I’ll be speaking at the Rocky Mountain Homeschool Conference in Denver, and the Arizona Homeschool Convention in Phoenix this summer. If you’re in those areas, come say hi! If you’re not, check your state association to see what’s in your area.

@KobeissiLetter The thing missing here is that AI has the capability of removing the humans from the process, this is the first time this has happened. Humans will need to reject the value of things created by AI and robots and assign 100x value on human created, unique things.

@ErnestWongBWM Personally I shop at Whole Foods instead of our local high end grocery store, still shop at Costco. Never bought groceries at Walmart

Amazon is now selling $150 billion in groceries per year, yet there's been no impact to Walmart or Costco's comps. Curious who this is coming at the expense of.

@HannahWardEdu This is easy to see in any library, look at an old book and new book in the same section and it is astonishing. I assume curriculums for public school have had the same progression

You see these testimonials online from parents who complain endlessly about how miserable parenting was for them. How horrible their children are. How exhausted they are. How much they suffered. How much their children now do not want kids of their own. What they are really doing is bragging about being unskilled parents. Which is a strange thing to boast about. That kind of public complaining is not honest reflection. It is terrible parenting. Just as you do not complain about your spouse in front of your children, you do not complain about being a parent in front of your children. The story you tell about parenting is the story your children absorb about family, responsibility, and the future. In our house, my wife and I always talk about our children in positive terms. Always. We do not describe them as burdens. We do not call them difficult, exhausting, or hard. We do not frame parenting that way at all. We talk about the pleasure of having children. We talk about responsibility as a privilege. About how doing hard things can be joyful. As a result, my son sees caring for his younger brothers as something honorable. He wants to do it. He enjoys it. He seeks it out. Children learn what life is supposed to feel like by watching you. If you tell them that raising children ruins your life, do not be surprised when they decide they do not want children of their own. The attitude you model about parenting is the attitude your children will carry when it comes time to decide whether to give you grandchildren.

@justinskycak I agree with this, I have not seen any data to support that kids have learning styles. I honestly find that all of these theories are developed by teachers that are now just lazy.

One of the most widespread – and most widely debunked – myths about education is that people learn better when they receive information in their preferred "learning style."

‘Although ed-tech companies tout huge learning gains, independent research has made clear that technology rarely boosts learning in schools—and often impairs it. A 2024 meta-analysis of 119 studies of early-literacy tech interventions, led by Rebecca Silverman of Stanford University, found the studies described programmes that delivered at best only marginal gains on standardised tests. The majority had little effect, no effect or harmful ones. Jared Horvath, a neuroscientist and author of a book called “The Digital Delusion”, has reviewed meta-analyses covering tens of thousands of studies. His verdict: “In nearly every context, ed tech doesn’t come close to the minimum threshold for meaningful learning impact.”’

@HannahWardEdu My wife and I built hero-mind.com that uses tech to save parents and teachers time creating personalized printable lessons that are incredibly engaging to their interests. Using AI to help the teacher instead of teaching the kids on screens without the teacher.

My biggest issue with ed-tech in 2026? It's really focused on screens. The coolest thing about the future of ed-tech? Screens will be OUT in a big way. Educational technology in 2036 will look less like kids on ChromeBooks and more like this. It's already emerging if you know where to look.👇🏻
