@katelynnnh_ Seen it 3 times and twice in real IMAX. Also really amazing to see that really puppetry being used and other real in camera effects. While not to same degree, it was interesting to see that at least some puppetry was being used in the new Star Wars movie too.

@MrAzSports Oh and if you pay for a seat it isn’t guaranteed either. I have heard of many instances on Facebook of people or even families picking seats and then getting split up or reassigned at the very least.

Man used to love Southwest but charging for seats has really killed flying with them for me and it really doesn’t feel much cheaper these days.

@Consoles4You Could the output still be 12V if there are some resisters inline?

Small warning to anyone that wants to buy an usb-c pd adapter for the wii/gamecube like these here. While they are a cool idea, they were built wrong. Instead of outputting 12V as the original psus they send 15V. While that might not directly kill a system it is not recommended.

Lunch at Steakhouse 71- a review thread! Derek and I each tried a sherbert punch NA drink. The flavors were good but the straw dissolved before the sherbert dissolved at all. I do not recommend it. The French onion soup appetizer was amazing! This was one of the best I've had- in or out of the parks!

@rankingthemouse IMAX sound is really good quality, but is only 5.1 at the most. Dolby Atmos audio is a really cool standard in that sound is an object that lives in a space and a theater can be any configuration of speakers up to 128 and the speakers are mapped to the space they are installed in

@rankingthemouse I wish on #2, Harkins theater chain in AZ has premium theaters under the CineXL branding that cost an extra $4 and a BIG IMAX that costs $5 extra. I do enjoy seeing “bigger” movies in those theaters and already have Dune 3 IMAX 70mm tickets for IMAX.

Assuming: 1) They include IMAX in their certifications 2) Theatres don't increase prices even more for IV-approved screens 3) This isn't just a ploy to circumvent no IMAX/premium screens available for Av: Doomsday THEN I will admit this is a cool concept - 3 big assumptions!

@SnazzyLabs Maybe remotely send IR commands somehow and do a face time session. I built a thing for the company I work at to do that with the enterprise AV control system we have.

Apple, please create remote access for Apple TV. It is nearly impossible to help my grandparents navigate with their remote (and even worse, type in passwords) from 1,000 miles away.

@JohnnyFocal @UltraHDBluray Even IMAX themselves are inconsistent due to varied sized theaters. I live in Phoenix and the only real IMAX theater is at Harkins AZ Mills and all of the other ones while marketing IMAX are the smaller version. Harkins IMAX can at least do both 70mm and digital laser projection.

Also, you’re missing the point of what it’s for. Outside of Dolby and IMAX, the premium large format space is largely a mess, with exhibitors inventing their own arbitrary “formats” and calling them premium. The aim here is simply to bring some consistency back, so audiences see films as close as possible to how they’re meant to be seen — not in some odd, compromised, made-up version. So yes, this is misconception piled on misconception.

@mariannwolfebe1 Give in! I was watching Project Hail Mary in IMAX and had to tell an older man like 60+ to stop texting. He arrived after the trailers started, the time to put your phone away message, and the feature just started. It was really bad as his phone was at 100% brightness too.

There's a lady here in the clinic waiting room with her phone on speaker playing some casino game with ads and it is taking all of my willpower not to say something.
