My client who paid me around $50k - $60k was Indian. A few days ago, someone posted about getting a lowball offer from a client. That led to many people complaining about Indian and Pakistani clients. While they do have that reputation, it’s important to remember that great clients can come from anywhere. I once worked with an Indian client who, to be fair, started out with a small offer. But I saw the potential and stayed. And I’m glad I did. He was a great guy who gave me so much trust and freedom. Because of that, I was able to help him grow his business significantly, and my pay naturally increased with it. He was also the first client who made me scale my agency. In fact, our relationship was so good that when he got banned on Upwork, he found me off the platform so we could continue working together. He even forwarded me messages from people who sent him cold emails trying to replace me, and we laughed over it. 😂 That same guy recommended me to his friends and everyone that asked, and I ended up working with three different clients through him. Of course the relationship wasn’t filled with ups alone. There were the difficult phases, but they were easy to work through because we were practically friends. He was also the first client I could ask for favors. We worked together long-term until he later went out of business and chased a different path. Writing this just made me think about him, and I’ll probably send him a message later. Great guy. Let me also add that it’s important to apply wisdom even in the face of common perceptions. It’s wise to always stay discerning rather than dismissive. Not everyone fits a trend or stereotype, and passing on an opportunity just because of where someone is from can make you miss out on a genuinely solid client.

A client offered $5 per video yes, that's low. But instead of simply declining or educating them professionally, this "service provider" responded by using slang codes to mock the client's budget behind their back. "Is it Eba or Gaari?" meaning? Brother, that is not professionalism. That is DISRESPECT dressed up as humor. If a client can't afford your rate: ✅ State your minimum clearly ✅ Wish them well and move on ❌ Don't categorize and mock them in the same conversation You're trying to build a brand and a clientele. This kind of attitude will chase good clients away faster than a bad portfolio will. Professionalism isn't just about the quality of your work. It's about how you treat people especially those who can't afford you YET. I re oooo

@MustafyOf I think you’re playing with your career and business. If the offer isn’t good, you let them know politely and also let them know what you charge for work like that. You don’t bring jokes into business, business is business.
