COD is not a competitive designed game, it never was. If it were CSGO, then I agree with the sentiment.

They don't get better, and they do leave, and then you get less content because the studio can't pay anyone anymore. So sure, cater to the 1% hardcore gamers, so games can disappear. Bravest business model "Ignore the majority for the minority". Wonder how that will work out. Also, on the design side, generally, when you lower the skill ceiling, it just gets easier for the 1% to win even more. It does give the less skilled players a shot. For example, TTK. The higher the TTK is, the harder the game will be for casuals and the fewer kills they will get. Lower TTK doesnt make the more skilled less skilled, because if you can kill players at a higher TTK, you can at a lower one even more so. The caveat is, you have less time to react to a slower paced player. So you can't just run around like Superman and turn on people.

Working in AAA is a young person's game now. Studios expect more senior talent to move their family across the country, to an unaffordable, overpopulated city, where quality of life plummets, forever renters to a bank, with hours of commute, and so on. Young people don't mind cramming into an apartment with 6 others to make rent, or don't have a family. On top of that, move here with the instability of the job market and not being able to find new work quickly!! We have game night and a fully stocked fridge at the office, though!

@caseohOOC People have gotten so mentally lazy because of AI. They think that because it makes something passable quickly and easily, it's helping them. Your mind is like a bicep, don't use it, lose it.

Alright, enough 💩posting from me. It's been a rough month, so I wanted to come on here and add to the chaos.

Game creation is not a tech problem it's a skill problem. It's never been easier to make games today, we don't need an algorithm to do it for us. The games industry just doesnt learn, more isn't better. We can add faster, cheaper, & more content. Well be billionaires!

I find it odd how so many people now use politics as their identity. You can't have a disagreement with someone or have a stance about something without being labeled leftist or right and (insert other extreme label here). I am neither, I vote when time is due and move on. I pick what I think is the better option, and what happens happens. It's also a shame we elect like that. Pick the less shitty shit.

There's a difference between appealing characters and "attractive" characters. Attractive is usually used in a sexualized way; appealing means you have an interest in the character. Shrek is ugly, but an appealing character; people like Shrek, but he's not attractive. Getting excited about a game character from a sexual standpoint is what I did when I was like 10, he is a grown man, 30+ years old. It's weird, but by all means, whatever floats your boat. Nothing wrong with it either if it's a one off thing, "I like this character because she's hot", okay cool. But he is always harping on this one thing. There are a lot more important things that are wrong with games today, and imo, this isn't one of them.

@DesignLvLUp @Grummz What's wrong with wanting attractive characters in video games? If I don't like the character cast I'm having less fun. It's obvious. It's one of the main reasons Concord has failed so spectacularly, no one wanted to play as those characters.
