@Mike_Nieto @DestinyTrioInc @xenosaga7 I actually believe Kingdom Hearts could've taken the place of FF given the Disney IP and fun gameplay, but I know they're "weird" and convoluted games to some people and the lack of releases in long gaps may also play a part in them not being as popular as they could be

If younger generations are not playing FF it’s not because of any gaps between releases. It’s just a cultural difference between our and zoomer tastes.

@Mike_Nieto @PrinceArdyn @xenosaga7 Treating everything with Final Fantasy as the same series is silly. Final Fantasy XV released in 2016. Final Fantasy XVI released in 2023. That was a seven year gap.

@PrinceArdyn @DestinyTrioInc @xenosaga7 It’s not as simple as that. I can see it being true with KH having no new games since 2019. But the other day Yoshi-P claimed the same with FF when many games have released since 2020.

@DestinyTrioInc @Mike_Nieto @xenosaga7 That's actually becoming a huge issue with modern gaming. By the time a new installment arrives fans have either outgrown the thing or moved on to something else without spinoffs and tie-ins to keep the interest.

Plus Both Chi, and Union Cross launched before KH3's Marketing started in earnest.

@Maxemldr KH3 wasn’t that different. KH3 didn’t have full marketing until 2017, 4 years after reveal. So far they just swapped drip feed for silence. FF7 Remake had this exact 4 year radio silence and no one talks about it anymore. When the game is out we won’t even think about this.
