Those same models have been mired in controversy for overly restrictive ToS, trying to copyright claim people's channels if they don't like them, and trying to revoke paid for rights with no compensation.
Not to mention plenty of those are stolen and re-sold/re-uploaded too

REMINDER theres been a boom for a while now of SUPER HIGH QUALITY customizable models that are all around 100 to 150 dollars you can edit textures too also endless FREE models and cheap premades and TONS of item assets. AI art has NO PLACE in this space and there is NO excuse.

@MizusPuddle actually THEY have no control over you. there is a single case as I said which is SUPER EXTREME and involves a ton of open hate and directly spiting the model maker by putting it into AI
even then, the original model maker cant really enforce model TOS aside from asking to stop

the word AI in general is extremely overused over the years and used to be used more vaguely and as a catchall which is why the distinction of “generative AI” is very important and VERY different

@DesyncZX 150$ is the price of some bills. You can get even cheaper by using AI and get comparible quality. Gotta compete better with the prices there but if someone wants to go that route they have the freedom to do so, but not making a confivincing sell for competing with AI there.
