As we continue our journey through the Jubilee Year 2025, Pope Francis calls us to deepen our faith through pilgrimage and prayer. While Rome is a distant destination for some, the Archdiocese of Detroit offers a sacred journey closer to home: The National Shrine of the Little Flower Basilica, which stands as a beacon of hope and spiritual renewal. Visitors are invited to walk in the footsteps of St. Thérèse of Lisieux, pray before her relics, and experience the peace of this sacred space dedicated to the “Little Flower.” The Basilica, with its rich history and vibrant faith, offers a place of reflection and grace during this Holy Year. In this Year of Hope, the National Shrine of the Little Flower invites you to make a pilgrimage of the heart to encounter God’s love and mercy. As we reflect on our shared faith, let us be reminded of the words of St. Thérèse: “I will spend my heaven doing good on earth.” 🔗Visit aod.org/jubilee to learn more about the Jubilee Year and indulgences.

Over the next four days, men from across the @ArchofDet will gather for a Discernment Weekend at @shmsdetroit where they will enter into an intentional period of priestly discernment. Please pray the Discernment Weekend is a fruitful time of prayer, discernment, and fraternity.

As we enter the Jubilee Year 2025, Pope Francis invites Catholics to embark on a pilgrimage of hope. While Rome may be the destination for some, the Archdiocese of Detroit offers sacred pilgrimage sites right here at home. The Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament is honored to be a designated pilgrimage site, where visitors can experience the Journey with the Saints exhibit, pray with relics, and reflect on the significance of the Jubilee Cross, made from the charred beams of Detroit’s former SS. Peter and Paul Cathedral. In this Year of Hope, the Cathedral invites all to deepen their faith through prayer, reflection, and the Holy Eucharist. As Fr. JJ Mech, rector of the Cathedral, reminds us, “A pilgrimage transforms us, and it’s a journey we are called to continue throughout our lives.” Join us in 2025 as we walk together on this path of faith and renewal. 🔗 Learn more about the Jubilee Year and the opportunity for indulgences at detroitcatholic.com/news/a-jubilee…
