One of my viewers contacted PlayStation support about the 30 day DRM update for PS4/PS5 games. The response they got makes it sound like this is not a mistake or "bug" and is intentional. They describe it as a "technical feature". Sony still hasn't officially responded yet.

A company gating your own access to a product you purchased over ANY REASON (even) internet should be by all accounts illegal (if it isn't already) and should be punished with extreme prejudice and liability, and mass refunds in full. This should not be tolerated whatsoever.
