Todd McLellan had very short comments after the Red Wings finished the season with an 8-1 loss to the Panthers. "Were you embarrassed?" he was asked. "Yeah. I think we all should be," McLellan said. "Both teams came in with nothing on the line, and you can see their championship pedigree. So I'm gonna compliment the Panthers. It runs throughout their organization. They came, they played, and it meant something to them," he added.

The Detroit Red Wings have officially lost 10 of their last 14 games to end the season.
