This is your friendly reminder that the sun is not playing around. Summer temperatures will be hot across much of the country leading into and through the July 4th weekend. As always, we encourage everyone heading outdoors to stay hydrated, take breaks in the shade, wear a hat and sunscreen, sploot responsibly, know your limits, and look out for one another.

Not if Republicans choose, in this very uniquely critical time in our American history, to vote across the aisle and ensure Fetterman's victory. How historic and piercing would that be in the halls of of the United States Congress?!? Does PA allow for open primaries? All States need to make this available if they dont already do so! It is more important than ever. And Dem establishment types might even go along with it, to fight the looming battles on their left.

@tweetzbyidil @C_m__9 Although there’s certainly the possibility that the manager’s version of events paints your coworker as the villain. I’ve unfortunately seen that scenario play out more than a few times under somewhat similar circumstances.

My coworker resigned with the required two weeks’ notice, but our manager took it personally. The very next day, he told IT to revoke her access to every system because, in his word… “She’s mentally checked out anyway.” She tried explaining that she was the only person who managed our client billing database and hadn’t finished handing it over yet. He didn’t care. “Someone else will figure it out.” Friday was her last day.

I ate Stone Crabs for the first time. Joe’s Stone Crab is an unbelievable place, with over a hundred years history and in a stunning location on Miami Beach. The crabs were absolutely delicious.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE EMERGENCY COMMUNIQUÉ FROM THE DAILY MOJO ASIAN DELEGATION The Daily Mojo Asian Delegation was shocked, saddened, bewildered, mildly inconvenienced, and briefly distracted from lunch upon learning that the image of Uncle Ben was removed from Uncle Ben’s Rice without any consultation whatsoever with this esteemed diplomatic body. Let the record show that no representative from the Delegation was contacted. No summit was convened. No ceremonial rice cooker was lit. No karaoke-based listening session was held. Not even an intern named Kevin was asked for his thoughts. This omission constitutes a direct violation of Article 7, Section 11, Paragraph C of the Pan-Pacific Accord on Guys Who Appear on Food Packaging, ratified during a three-hour happy hour in 1987. For decades, the Daily Mojo Asian Delegation has stood as the world’s leading authority on matters involving rice, noodles, fortune cookies, Godzilla, Bruce Lee movies, those little packets of silica gel that say DO NOT EAT, and anything sold in a box featuring a smiling person. Yet somehow, corporate America decided it could alter the geopolitical landscape of rice representation without first seeking approval from a group whose headquarters is located between the vending machine and the men’s room. This reckless action has destabilized the entire Mascot-Pacific region. Reports indicate the Quaker Oats Guy has elevated his threat level to “Concerned.” The Sun-Maid Raisin Girl has been placed on alert status. The Monopoly Man has reportedly moved several assets offshore and cannot currently be reached for comment. In response, the Delegation has authorized Operation Uncle Sensei, a comprehensive initiative that will include: • A 14-month fact-finding mission to every Chinese buffet in America. • The establishment of a Truth and Riceconciliation Commission. • The immediate stockpiling of emergency jasmine rice reserves. • The deployment of diplomatic envoys to investigate whether Cap’n Crunch is next. • A strongly worded letter written entirely in Comic Sans. The Delegation further rejects any suggestion that this controversy is unimportant. History teaches us that civilization itself rests upon three pillars: Rice. Product mascots. The belief that everything was somehow better in 1983. Should our concerns continue to be ignored, we are prepared to pursue additional measures, including but not limited to filing paperwork, creating committees, forming subcommittees to oversee those committees, and eventually forgetting what the original issue was. The Daily Mojo Asian Delegation remains committed to finding a peaceful solution and asks the public to remain calm, avoid panic-buying rice, and remember our guiding principle: “Twenty Bucks. Same As Downtown.” END STATEMENT “No rice decision about us, without us.” — Official Motto of the Daily Mojo Asian Delegation

This is our plan for the coming days. The next game we’ll attend is Germany’s Round of 32 match in Boston on the 29th. Since we have 7 days to get there, we decided not to take the direct route and instead make a huge detour through Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and a few other states. Any recommendations for places or cities to visit along the way are very welcome!

I’m a lifelong Houston Astros fan. Every year for Father’s Day, my kids get me and my wife tickets to a game and we all go together. My wife, my kids, their spouses, and my grandkids. We were at the game in Houston last night and two things happened that made my night almost as much as being at the game with my family. The first happened when I paid a vendor with my USAA credit card. She saw the card and said, “just want to thank you for your service.” I thanked her and the two young men (early 20’s or so) in the row in front of me turned around, each shook my hand, and one of them said, “We couldn’t help but overhear. We also want to thank you for your service, sir.” It wasn’t about their recognizing me, per se. It was just very refreshing to see two young guys thankful for another person’s sacrifice. Too often, all we hear about are the entitled, arrogant young generation. Last night just reminded me they aren’t all in that group. The second thing was at the piano bar in downtown Houston after the game. There were 12 Dutch guys at the table next to us. They’ve been in the US for the past nine days to follow the World Cup. I ended up talking to them for quite a while. This was the first trip to the States for them. They said they had always been told how arrogant and condescending Americans are. They said since they’ve been here, everyone they’ve come in contact with has been overwhelmingly friendly and welcoming. One of them even commented, “Everything we’ve ever heard about Americans is a lie.” I bought a round of drinks for them and told them I was glad they had a good experience in this country and hoped they would return sometime. Every now and then, I get too sucked into all the negativity that permeates social media and forget that it actually represents an extremely small fraction of the population. Good people still outnumber bad by a huge margin. Last night was my latest reminder not to forget that.
